I have finally decided that there is no bad Band Maid song. I discovered rock just before the british invasion in the 60's and have been playing and writing it ever since. Every band I ever listened to had a bad song or two, sometimes on each album, except for these girls. I didn't care a lot for this song till I got torqued tonight and listened to it with you. All I can do is bow to the genius that comes up with this shit.

I'm glad you held off as well. At least for now. The footage you have was decidedly not a "fancam" and a lot of time and effort (i.e money) went in to creating it. I do hope it is realeased by the Maids soon though, perhaps after a trip through a post studio. Great as the mix sounded, I hope an official realease brings in a little more of the room. As you said, somebody will drop the footage eventually but I don't think you want to be "that guy". You're doing great my friend and I really enjoy your reactions.
I couldn't attend the show for work reasons and I'm itching to hear the song now that I know about it, however I have to agree with my fellow maidiacs here. I'll wait as much as I have to for an official release, and I know they'll deliver, they always do 🤘🕊️
I'll be shocked if Memorable doesn't arrive as an MV in the near future, If they haven't already got it in the bag then they do tend to be responsive to the fans and they will know how we felt about the song. I'm sure they also know full well that if they don't do an MV then that live performance will get out. I agree with all those that advised you that it would not be cool to do it.
Here's the thing about "Memorable" - they're earning money by selling the live stream on Zaiko... until the 16th for the cheap level and until February 9th for the more expensive level. Personally I think they could sell more streaming if they teased it a bit, but it's not up to me to make that decision for them. You're doing right by them. By the way, apparently Kanami got inspired by the responses of the masters and princesses and wrote it during the U.S. tour in October. So encourage anyone who's *_really_* itching for it; go give them some money and get the stream. Reward them for their hard work

It is a milestone in their career, since all three songs are self-composed, the first release ever to have all songs composed by Band-Maid! Unfair Game (one of the songs) has the longest solo ever recorded on an album, and is a favorite among those who know B-M deep cuts.

Well, someone did, but there are so many other great songs too. They are historic, too. Two of the very first Kanami-written songs released after Alone.
Showing the new song would have almost certainly resulted in a copyright strike for the channel. The fact that the band hasn't really mentioned the new song since the show leads me to believe it may well end up on TH-cam after a video and audio mix since whatever you had was pulled directly from a PPV livestream which they will still be selling for a month. Some of the people who cautioned against it have a very good idea what will and will not trigger a strike through experience.
Japan doesn't allow fancams which is a completely different rule from when they are in the US. The band is kind of ok with it, but management isn't good with it. It definitely would be a negative of you want to interview them. 😉

When you go to a Foo Fighter concert (your example) and post a fan-cam file, it's not the same like post actual piracy stuff. First the quality is not pro quality, second the concert, people payed for, is over, while the tickets for the professionally filmed B-M TGT concert are still on sale. So, if people out there think, it's smart to upload this yet unpublished song helps the band and encourage them further to provide fans the possibility to attend via live stream, might think a bit short. They are cool with fan-cams too, there are tons from the last US tour. So, whoever claims to respect the Band, or supporting them, just let this be, as long TGT tickets are on sale, even if it means to sacrifice the wish to be the first one who publishes it. The point is, the live stream of the TGT concert is still on sale and as long as the deadline for the stream is still running, it’s still not cool to publish content of it, IMHO. I've worked in the entertainment business long enough to know how social media works and also to see how hard it is for artists to make a living from your art unless you're a real biggie. I've seen a lot of talented bands give up because it's not enough - not that it’s the case with B-M. So, if you genuinely want to support your favorite artists, then buy their professionally produced products. If you want it for free then stick to the published videos or the fan cams. Arguing others do it too is just a strawman argument and hypocrisy. I also like to thank you for the well-intentioned recommendation to educate myself, but thanks, I think my educational backpack is already quite well filled.

The subject is multifaceted and I think we can agree that e.g. Puzzle and Anemone acoustic, or also Puzzle and Moratorium are parade recordings that people should see and the stupidity of the music publishers incomprehensibly prevents that. I also think your approach is cool, enriching songs that don't have a video with gorgeous photo collages and making them accessible to people via TH-cam. But in this specific case I stand by it: the new song has not yet been published by the band and is part of an actual concert video for which they still want to sell tickets. Beautiful song but once you’ve heard the Maids live, it’s hard to go back. Was at the concert yesterday. Amazing sound. In regards to the new song, photography and video are absolutely not allowed in Japanese venues and they warn everyone that if caught you will be thrown out. Japanese fans very much respect that, so whoever gave you the footage may also be worried about backlash from other fans if you show it as it’s very disrespectful to the Bands wishes which is why all the fans are telling you not to show it.
I still haven't watched the live show yet. I had 3 paid livestreams that day: Band-Maid, Gacharic Spin and one of the 4 Senri Kawaguchi streams shows she did in a row to celebrate the 10th aniversary of her first album. I actually wanted to watch Band-Maid the most, but it was also the longest and I just didn't have time to fit it in yet. I will most likely watch it this weekend (I bought the monthlong vod access) since some of the other shows will expire before that. I had 6 shows for the last week or so and not enough time to watch them properly unfortunately. 3 down, 3 to go. I am really curious about the new song (I actually didn't even realize there was one), but I do think it's a good call to not release it. They generally don't remove stuff from youtube, but I wouldn't be surprised if they took down your video if you posted it. I have seen it before with rips of the Christmas Acoustic that were posted before the vod access ended.

@@TlanImass I bought their latest CD and I only like 1 or maybe 2 tracks on that whole album (and not even all of the songs), mainly because of the extreme amounts of pitch-correction and electronica on the main vocalists voice. So I don't really like most of what I have heard and seen by them, but I will probably give it a shot. Fate Gear pleasantly surprised me live even though I don't really like the production on their albums either, so why not. I really hope the vocalist doesn't sound as off as on the tiny amount of footage I have seen before, because she was very much off-pitch on that one. It's available until January 21st, so I should be fine (I still have a couple of Juna Serita performances next week though). I am cutting it close on some of the Senri ones though with me not being able to watch 2 days in a row now.
