My family and I happened to catch him on Premium Blend or something on Comedy Central when I was a kid. I've always remembered the Windex joke. It's too bad his health is taking a turn as an adult would love to see him. He has like this whole punk attitude to his act. Watching this today, I couldn't picture him not upsetting some community. Just this alone I was thinking how much feminist group would say he is making money on the backs of abused women with this. Maybe it's better that his time was the mid 90s and early 2000's?
He would be banned these days, simply for his(fake)mistreatment of a woman.(like he would truly jab a pair of scissors into her skull?)Too many sensitive pansies out there, that can't take a joke! Is there actually any comedians making a decent living by making the world laugh, anymore? The only ones I've seen lately are the ones slamming the 45 prez!
While I've always loved the guy, I have to admit that he limited himself by only having the one act year after year. I wish we could have seen what he was capable of before he died. (assuming there was more to see) That's probably why nobody you know knew who he was.
I keep seeing people referring to him as a comedian, but this man was a magician. I mean, did you see the way that he knew which member of the audience would volunteer to come up on stage?!
Saw Johnathon in Columbus this spring and actually got called up on stage, what an honor to be so close to a living legend. Today's magicians should be calling and thanking Johnathon each day for leading the way. It was a memory that I will treasure forever. Thanks Johnathon Catch his show whenever you can. A comic genius, on the level with Benny Hill, Senior Wences and the Three Stooges
yeah you are full of shit because he's dead, when you posted this comment he wasnt on stage or touring then due to his heart failure .. Johnathon's final show was in 2017 (so there is no way possible you saw him 1 year ago (2021/2020) in the spring) and the guy he has on stage is ALWYS THE SAME GUY AND IS PART OF HIS ACT .. he doesnt call up random people on the stage .. and the fact you say "catch his show" you are an idiot he died .. he's dead which shows that you are a liar and a fake .. Greg.. you are a filthy liar and should be ashamed of yourself ..
After hearing about your passing, our industry doesn't feel the same. We definitely lost another legend. How fitting how you passed on 2/22/22 you legend. RIP friend.
At the 5:21 mark, I loved the multiple bags holding the deck of cards trick. RIP Johnathan. Yeah, like he is gonna let that happen. He is still raising comedy heck wherever he is at.
RIP Johnathan, I remember watching your sublime/chaotic brand of humor in the late 80's, thank you for all these years of silliness and laughter...you will be missed.😎❤
I learned he passed away from a Reddit post, i just watched the documentary on him because of that. An awesome comedian/magician sadly taken. I think the Psychic Sandra in this skit is his first wife too, she's beautiful.
Saw him in Vegas in the Flamingo with friends of his wife/assistant. Also was his volunteer at his show in Edinburgh, Glasgow at the summer festival. #RIP
Growing up in the 90s, my first bf in elementary school loved magic. he brought over a vhs that was The Amazing Johnathan that was actually signed by Johnathan. I loved it, he was so funny and did such amazing tricks!! He never took the tape back. He was such a great friend from elementary school through high school. He took his life years ago and I miss him, I wish I could have saved him. Geoff, i really hope you found peace, I love you.
I watched this back in the early 90s when I was a young lad. One of my favorite shows ever. I honestly thought this guy died. I'm glad he beat his heart problem..
He is magician Chris Farley. Watch the way he does his movements at the very end of the show when they are applauding. If that doesn’t remind you of Chris..... Love both of them
I had the honor to see him at college as a freshman during a school show. It was a small rich college. He probably made money, but it was definitely an exercise in the art. He pulled of some amazing shit. It was awesome. 1990 Spring Hill College cafeteria.
That was funny as f**k.....i can't think of anyone who does this kind of routine these days...which is a shame and a reflection on our overly sensitive society...Bring back the Amazing Johnathan...PLEASE.

The single most underrated comedian in history. Grew up watching him. Way ahead of his time.
Still ahead of his time
I fully agree! My brother and I grew up watching him on comedy central when we'd come home from school! He's crazy!

@@rayfran06 No, maybe you should stop being a coward and tell these demons to piss off?
He had the tag of being a “prop comedian” too so that made it harder for him to take seriously.
I love the one overly loud guy in the audience laughing his head off 🤣 having the time of his life at this absolute legend.
A genius and made me weep as a teenager with his mad insanely funny act, I was so sad to hear of his passing, thanks for the laughter and RIP.
So sad to hear he's gone. But he'd be banned these days for being too funny.

The more I show him to people the more I'm blown away that nobody knows him. True legend.
That would depress me greatly.
I watched him as a kid back in the late 80's.

Saw him live in Vegas. Front row. I was terrified. He picked the guy next to me. Phew! RIP AJ.
I was that guy. Loved him and we got there early. Friends still get me with the “blowing bubbles as a child” routine…….

I live in Vegas. He's a goddamn legend. Doesn't get any better. And he always took time to say thanks to his fans. Just what a Vegas act should be.
Simply perfection. You have brought so much joy. Thank you! Heal my friend.
He said hi to me when I mouthed the word "Gotcha!"
I remember watching this back in the day and I laughed so hard. It holds up.
RIP Johnathan. Your Amazing comedy lives on.
It's great to know that man in the audience had one of the best nights of his life. Jonathan was incredible and super smart and talented...😊

He does magic and at the same time makes fun of it, genius.
Johnathan was one of the TOP TEN GOATs of all time.
I guess Psychic Bambi died after her 1993 appearance.
Though I think Psychic Sandra was his wife in real life.
Then there was psychic Tanya queen of the night!
Yeah, that was a pretty tragic stage accident, but it did get a huge laugh from the audience, so Bambi's death was not in vain.
Yes His Best Assistant Ever (Sandra)😁
He was a mad man
I don't know how I'm now just hearing and seeing this guy but I'm not happy about it. How did I miss this? RIP

Why would this crowd take this bit so personal? It’s like they were watching an actual assault
Point out who/when they took it personally
"Overkill"... It just wasn't appreciated as much as it should have been.
