    You two do make me smile, "we're off on us walk today" says Rob and hes off leaving Gail trailing behind with the camera, "come on through these nettles" 😂😂😂😂 wonderful! 🎉🎉

      Gail’s used to me by now (she says rolling her eyes) 🤣. I very often have to go back and rescue her 😂. I love the great outdoors and I’m afraid I get carried away exploring 🫢

    Hi there Rob & Gail, cracking video full of really useful info from start to finish. The Happy Pheasant looks a lovely site, and the peace & quiet is very appealing plus £100 is excellent value. Fab top tip on carrying a shovel, I wouldn’t have given that another thought but how simple & effective for levelling the van. Thanks for sharing, ATB Dave & Helen 👍

      Thank you Dave & Helen, Sometimes you just can’t beat a private site. We spent ages chatting with the owners and found them really friendly and they were thrilled we were posting the very first TH-cam site review. Lovely place. Ha yes the shovel, one to add to the tool kit there Dave ✔️ Take care, Rob & Gail

      Hi Andrew we were pleasantly surprised. We do like an open view and it makes a change from club suburbia. We had a good holiday there and can recommend it. Thanks for tuning in and all the best Rob & Gail

    Thanks Rob, as a fellow caravaner on the other side of the world it’s always interesting to see how it’s done in other places, I don’t think we’ll ever get the chance to come and see your wonderful countryside so thanks for sharing. Maybe one day you might be able to come and check out my camping back yard…Cheers from NZ

      Greetings to you from across the globe and thank you for tuning in Graeme. It’s a pleasure to hear my channel has reached NZ. I doubt we will ever venture further than the UK. TH-cam is the closest we will get to seeing how others caravan… All the best to you, Rob

    Really well made little film that Rob the site looks nice and good value, amazing to see those rhododendrons out there eh , I think we've lifted that bridge a couple of times on our boat holidays.. oh and well done to the camera lady wife 👍

      Huge compliment thank you very much. We enjoyed making our little video adding as many different clips as we could. It’s great to come across interesting finds like the beautiful rhododendrons and we didn’t realise the canal was so close either. Must be a very relaxing way to spend a holiday cruising along the canal. Oh and 📽Gail says thank you. All the best, Rob

      Hello Paul, We also found Happy Pheasant on Pitch Up and as you can tell from our video we had a very enjoyable stay there . The owners were lovely too 👍. We’ve had to hack our way through many a footpath over the years, it’s very annoying 😠. Thank you very much for watching and for your comment. All the best, Rob & Gail

    Excellent review and vlog Rob, well produced and presented.
    Another nice site that’s now been added to our “Rob Recommended “ sites.
    Pity no showers yet tho but can get round that by bringing the tin bath from home.
    Notice how easy it was to attach your power cable to car.
    My VW Touareg is very similar to your Audi and I have a factory tow bar but the 13pin socket is buried under the bumper and it’s a hands and knees job to crawl under to plug in and twist.
    Thanks again for all your vlogs - always a pleasure to watch
    Howard

      Well thank you very much Howard, I think we’re getting the hang of editing these videos. We’re both old enough to remember tin baths ! And Gail says Matey bath flakes in a box too ! We quite enjoy our caravan showers. I’m surprised your VW electrical socket is situated in a awkward place. Not sure what year the tow bar design changed but the socket is now fixed to the tow bar neck and very easy to access, even easier than mine. I rather like the new Touareg with its Innovision cockpit. Thanks for tuning in and all the best to you, Rob & Gail

    Top cover of a lovely looking site congrats. Your sat nav seems very accurate is something you down loaded or is it as comes with the car. we use the avtex CAMaC tourer and i have lost some faith in it as on 2 occasions i have had to ignore its suggestions , and have found our self's in tricky situations despite several updates. good that the site can give those final approach details.

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Keith, Thanks very much for the compliment. We had a very relaxing stay there. My sat nav is as it comes. There have been a few occasions when I didn’t want to take a turning the sat nav suggested and by ignoring the turning it recalculated the route. In my route options I can select ‘fast’ ‘short’ or ‘econ’. I have mine set to econ. I also have all the routes criteria switched on such as motorways, etc. It always chooses main roads in order of priority starting with motorways working down to local roads. Different systems will have different options in the settings menu. Best regards. Rob

    Unfortunately my days of walking are long gone due to severe foot problems so if you have any tips for little adventures on a jolly scooter that would be great.

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry to hear you have limited walking Jan. We will try and point out scooter friendly paths where possible in our future videos. A good example is our Hawkshead Hall video where we mention the easy wide flat path around Tarn Hows. Thanks for watching and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀

      Hi Peter, We haven’t ventured that far south with the caravan. We don’t go away for more than five nights at the moment and we would prefer to stay longer if travelling such a long distance. It’s a beautiful part of the country and we definitely want to visit one day. Best regards, Rob & Gail 👍😀
