Thank you for this! -__- I've literally been searching and searching and no one has said what to do once you have the animal tamed. Everyone keeps showing how to tame it but not what to do after. I'm hoping they add breeding soon. That would make this process a little more worth I feel.
Same! I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the loot from my tames. People in the Discord were saying you can have to kill them for the loot and i does seem as so. Lame! I hope they change it and yes, breeding is going to be wild! Didnt they say there will be cross breeding to make new animals too?
I started to tame an S class bear in season 1. Took 3 real life days to reach 48%, not because it took so long but because the system is so janky. Taming progress stops if you log out (or maybe even when you go away from your base). Its food will still drop and when it gets low it will lose health. It's like you have to stand there all day long looking at it to gain any real progress. After the 3rd day I was fed up with it and just killed it.

by the way, if you press SHIFT over an untamed animal in your inventory, it will tell you their traits. you can also check the animals on your territory by pressing F on their traits in the window.
Thanks for the tip! I found out early about being able to look at all your tames from just 1 tame, because my Bears kept clipping under the foundation or out of the Pens lol. I had to pick them up and put them back everyday last season 😩
@@therealSlick99 yeah it's super handy to be able to look at them all from 1! but i meant pressing F on their trait will open a new window which shows all of their traits, even if you haven't hit the tame % requirement. saves me a lot of time since taming animals takes a while ! i throw the bad ones on the ground now 😅
For the food. Just look at their info to see their favorite food. If you use that their taming goes faster. For bears fish is their favorite. To collect from them there is a timer where you collect whatever they produce.
I tried that in one of my earlier taming videos and nothing was working right, it even said you can drop food on the ground and i couldn't get any animal to eat that way either. So i had to branch out and expirement and this is what worked 🤷🏽♂️. I tried fruits, vegetables in the trough, they didnt eat it. Threw Sage in the trough, didnt eat it, i made Herbal Green with Sage and they ate it, but they also ate any Herbal Green i made from different flowers. The only thing i could get them to eat aside from Herbal Green was Cabbage, so it's a little confusing.
@@therealSlick99 perhaps the tamed rabbits are still bugged, i tried with both deer and bear and they immediately eat whatever was written in the favorite foods. I gave up on the rabbits because they keep on getting out of the enclosure i made for them similar to what your made.
For rabbits wouldn't it better to go to beach, take canned mushrooms and just try chasing the buggers to the sea and trap then agaibst the water theb knock them out. I raise deer just to get kewl deer and the bunnies give them enough food. Might do rabbits though just to get the huge stamina boost.
I can see that working with all the boulders by the beach. I found just staying close but keeping distance and wait for them to chill out, if you keep chasing them they will just keep running. They are quick lil buggers! The stamina boost is why im breeding them now! @@therealSlick99 Thanks, I was going for funny :) lol. You don't have to kill the tames to get loot. Pretty sure at 50% they just start creating it and you can click on them and loot. I've been waiting for the full feature to really dive into it and put up an updated video.

Only option is to Slaughter them from my findings. If you figure anything out please let me know! I'm baffled by this 😵 Not to mention all the promoting videos they have released have shown more than just 6 animals yet they have a current cap of only 6 animals, at least it told me i couldnt have anymore than 6.
@@therealSlick99 yeah, I tried to ask them about that in the Dev stream but no answer. The cap needs to be raised if they are adding breeding. I always figured what we have now is the beta and everything will change with the update.
long reply, but a good one! Here's my take at the end of this season, Hunting to find Grade S tames AND taming them took too much time BUT now that we have breeding, I no longer need to leave my base to hunt anymore. Awesome. All i have to do is just keep them fed (easy), and they will keep breeding and producing more Grade S rabbits! Raising the babies seems to be faster than taming as well. I have so many rabbits now, so much pristine canned meat. Feeling worth it now! tip. once they breed, they go into "mating cooldown" so just pick them up and put them in a storage so they don't waste food. The cool down timers haven't been consistent for me to understand yet, so I've just been pulling them out once a day to breed and put them back. What will really help is increasing the number of animals we can have our. 6 isn't enough 😩

Not worth it. There was a guy on my hard server that was running shrapnel and had mini canner, he was using pristine rabbit canned meat for LEA Lab Pro but even he gave up as the effort to catch them and the time to tame did not equal the benefit.
One small error when you were comparing Pristine Deer and Rabbit meat you said Deer is gonna be better, but they are completely different effects. Deer gives 50% DURATION and Rabbit gives 20% EFFECT.
@@jinkxy2370 I knowwww 😩 @2:21 i added the ??? because i wasnt sure what the "Magnitude" really meant. I've been breeding S Class rabbits and I haven't noticed much difference and the +100 stamina isn't working right either 💀
@@therealSlick99 difference should be really small, for example Canned Meat gives 20% Shrapnel so with Pristine Rabbit it should be 24%. If it is even working, breeding is so time consuming for such little payoff that im not even interested in trying. ^^
My animals go into the structure and get missing. I mean what to do this is irritating. my 4 rabbit despawn or disappeared out of I go 3 below my structures. Any solution for this ?>
@@IamAshishChauhan This happened to me a lot last season! All you have to do is press F on any if your animals, this should give you the details of that animal, and also a list of all of your animals on the right. You can click on each animal and it will take you to them, you can then pick the animal up and put it in your backpack. I think the command was H or U? I'm not playing at the moment but it will tell you on the bottom of the screen. Once you have the animal back in your backpack, you can choose it to place them back down. 🙏🏽 I hope that makes sense and helps!
I haven't fully tamed any aggressives but i have had my animals killed while taming and i just got the normal meat and skin. Although im wondering if you get the Pristine Loot from your tame if its killed by an enemy 🤔
I get the rabbits. but what about bears (for home defense i think it says) or wolved (for outdoor battles with the whistle i believe) are those worth it?
@@SPINNINNZEN Well i think that's completely up to you if you want to spend the time and attention taming them for either the Meat or Base Defense. It's a process but a fun little journey learning and getting to know the mechanics. I don't think you can take tames outside of your territory tho. The aggressive animals can guard your base but i don't think you can take them into battle. The Shadow Hound Deviation is the one for that job. I suggest taming at least 1 animal tho! oh and i do know that Bear Meat gives you a +HP buff. Bears were the first animals i tried to tame because of that. I have 2 live videos during the process, check them out when you have time 😁

Pristine Rabbit is waaaaaayyy better than Deer! imagine that 25% shrapnel damage from canned meat increased by another 5% (as in +20% more from the actual 25%)

It would be great if it worked better, the buffs would be pretty valuable. If the Tames don't need to be slaughtered and just produce meat in their inventory over a certain amount of time would be worth it imo
To be honest, If you really think you are forward all the other content creators cause you showed us cooking recipes you would be if you had killed Finn for science so to finally know if the animal really is gonna to die or if it stays. Know im still unsure if you can collect or not since that wouldnt be the onliest translation mistake I saw so far 😕
I don't think im "forward" any content creator at all, my apologies if that is what you took from this video. Not my intention. I am very new to creating content on TH-cam and have respect for the community and all creators as i am constantly learning from them all daily! Ever since they introduced taming, i have been interested in the new mechanic's and could not find any information anywhere, articles or videos, that covered how to get the loot from the animals you tame. You are right, i should have slaughtered it for science to know for sure. Although i am glad i didn't, because i realized later that i had accidentally picked Finn when i wanted to pick Murphy being the lowest level LOL Finn survived that one, but Murphy might be making it into a new Short for Science 😁
I think the Ewe or female goat and the combat animals are the only ones worth taming and raising. Maybe they will introduce breeding so that we don't need to keep on catching new ones every time we slaughter them.

I think the ranching ain’t fully developed yet until breeding. Two s grade breed baby’s and then you slaughter the cub for meat

the only one i've seen that actually has a button to gather the resourses from them is the alligator and it gives you like 1 egg.
