- A tribute to Lance Corporal Stjepan 'Rick' Milosevic, Sapper James Martin and Private Robert Poate from the 3 RAR Task Group and Lance Corporal Mervyn McDonald and Private Nathanael Galagher from the Special Operations Task Group who fell in Afghanistan.
From an American who knows the sacrifice. For these in this fight and those who fell with my Brother in Vietnam, my Uncle in Korea, and my Uncle at Tarawa. All our love and our tears are with the families "down under".
Means a lot to us cause we know if someone declares war against us I know you will have our back🇦🇺🇺🇸❤️

I don't get it u see so much about American soldiers but not about these brace diggers. I'm hoping that my cadet training will give me the upper edge to join the Australian army I will fight proudly with my brothers under our great and beautiful flag knowing that there is always someone here for me

Only last week I met a friend of my daughters and as we we're chatting I made a remark about my husband being in the army while our children we're growing up and she had the nerve to say that only low life scum join the army and woman that marry soldiers and have children we're under achievers, and yes I PUT HER BACK IN PLACE and she is no longer a friend of my daughter. I've met quiet a few people like her and I'd just like to say I HOPE YOU NEVER NEED A SOLDIERS HELP, stop and think, they put their life's on the line for their country and when there are natural disasters who comes in to help along with emergency teams, much respect for all those that join whatever force to help others, PROUD ex military family 🇦🇺

War is never about glory, its about remembering those who we have lost and respecting everyone who has helped protect our freedom, whether that be from sweeping the floors in the medical rooms on the ships/bases/planes to serving on the front line. Every single one of them who serves for us deserves our respect. They see things that no human being should ever see. All we can wish for is the ones deployed the other week return in one piece.

We never will forget the sacrifice given by those in the past. We have 2 days a year dedicated to remembering our fallen soldiers. On the 25th of April we have ANZAC day and on the 11th of November you call it Veterans Day but we call it Remembrance Day to remember the past current and future people of serving in our armed forces.
