Kelli, you make me come out of my safety zone with regards to nail colours. Whilst I previously only wore "conservative" shades, you made me, for the first time in my 42 years old life, try out blues, whites, purples. I feel like I previously had been living under a rock! So many eye-catching, provocative, head turning shades out there :-) I wouldn't have known had it not been for you, Kelli :-) I'd love to see your kind suggestions/recommendations pertaining to specific occasions, E.g. holiday in the city best shade, best vacation in the tropics shade, "meeting in laws for the first time" colour, professional job interview colours, etc. I think we don't credit nail colours enough but they have the power to not only add to our embodied identity but also, to uplift our moods, calm our senses or boost our confidence in certain situations :-) Much love, Kelli, your videos are beyond entertaining and inspiring :-) Both (painted) thumbs up, my lovely!

I can't really even explain why that one is stuck in my mind so much but it is. Nine Zero Lacquer has some of my absolute favourite Halloween polishes and she does gorgeous crellies: Ectoplasm, Jack-O-Lantern Juice, and Tricks No Treats are just gorgeous and so much fun. KBShimmer also did a fun Halloween trio a couple years ago and Hey There Pumpkin would be so great for pumpkin nail art. Hmm I should do that, I even have stamping plates with just jack-o-lantern faces.

My favorite Halloween color is Orly's Nouveau Riche. It was technically part of a winter/holiday collection but something about the green/shimmer gives me wicked witch vibes and I love it so much!

This showed up in my feed just now and I'm here for it. Halloween is my favorite holiday and even though it's April/May I'm doing a Halloween set this weekend for funsies. I always look forward to the LA Colors Halloween set every year but they didn't do one 2023 so im having withdrawal lol
I'm not a hoarder but I admit when I am near out of a polish I use a little thinner to get the dried edges to thin out and then I can clean the brush so if I need to swap brushes I have a spare. and then I leave the bottle with the cap off and tip it forward so the polish all fills the front of the bottle and i let it dry like that. After its dry I use a sharpie and write the date and put the cap back on and put it on the top shelf with other memories. Got about 20 bottles up there and it is funny to see how my taste has changed over the years that way. It's also a talking point of friends saying remember the polish we useto wear and i snap a photo and it's like yea it's this one it's called... Most are discontinued but occasionally it can be found again. They are little memory bottles for me and they remind me of both good and bad times in my life.
The neon green reminds me of glow sticks so it's definitely Halloween to me. I'll be wearing my pajamas for Halloween. I'm staying home so no dressing up. But I will do my nails.

China glaze’s Ruby Pumps (also salon perfects version) is a polish you can wear anytime. Halloween, Christmas & Valentines Day lol. I love wearing purples & neon greens for Halloween. I wear the oranges for November. Especially the burnt oranges lol. Right now I am wearing a neon purple polish with holo taco’s solar topper over it. So Halloween 🎃 ❤

KBShimmer makes a polish that is an off white crelly with small hex glitters in green, orange, purple, yellow & black. It’s appropriately called “Hide and Eek”. It reminds me so much of Halloween.

My favourite was from a very limited release, a very long time ago which was China glaze fortune teller, black jelly with orange glitter. It was stunning.

It’s great that all of these can still be bought! I recently had to drop a hefty chunk for a discontinued polish (So Matcha Energy by Expressie) On the upside, the set I had to buy to get it also had several other discontinued ones so I lucked out and won’t need any new polishes for a good while

I'm thinking putting it over an orange polish or taking and mixing white and grey but not fully mixing them so it will be a swirl of grey and white with the bats on top of that. I think it will look cool either way thier bats 🤗

Your Orly collab just came today! My five year old is wearing Wing It over one coat of Smoke Jelly and the ten year old is wearing a jelly sandwich of Wing It and Mystic Jelly. I need time to mull over which to try first. But of Corpse and Guts kind of remind me of the Cherry and Lime Smoothie from Sinful Colors Smoothie Collection from the spring. The Smoothie collection are matte jellies with a matte black glitter running through them, but have a different texture.

China Glaze has the best Halloween polishes, period. I love all your picks! I'd add China Glaze Immortal and Finger Paints Th-ink Outside the Box, though I can't guarantee either are still available. (My collection goes back around 15 years and who knows what's in there.) Zoya Storm isn't a unique polish anymore, but it is a pretty one (black with scattered holo.)

I love these video. You always do such a great job. Well, I’ll be watching a lot of your older videos from years ago, because I just got diagnosed with Covid. I went all this time without getting it and last night, I started feeling yucky. It felt like I had a frog 🐸 in my throat and I was losing my voice. I then started coughing this morning. I never get sick and can’t remember when the last time I got a cold or anything. We test weekly at my job and last night I got my results in an email and came back inconclusive and that never happens. So, I asked my husband to test me when I got up this afternoon and sure enough it was definitely positive. I work at a State Facility with the mentally challenged. I worked with someone last week that was positive, so I guess I was lenient enough with my mask wearing.

Starrily never restocks. Really nice stuff, but there are "not limited edition" shades I've been waiting for for years lol. I agree ilnp is often 3 coats, but it's worth it! and dries pretty fast.
Came here to mention how much I love your makeup. I remember in one of your vlogs you mentioned being wary of bold lips cause people on the internet can be gross but that purple lipstick is fire with that eyeshadow look. Also love this video idea! Edit: I do think ILNP really kills halloween shades that work throughout the year. Currently wearing Carrie (which I think was from the 2020 launch) which is super vampy red, but definitely gonna do a mani with eclipse (and the new orly wing it when i get it!!)
I find it really hard to come across good green polishes where I live (Tasmania). I'll have to order from Femme Fatale or I Scream Nails as I can't seem to find any available in stores.

Picture Polish’s Red Room screams Halloween to me because it’s this vampy red with dark speckles in it that has powerful holo in the sun 🤤
Ideas for other favorites videos: favorite one-coat polishes (for those of us who don’t have many cremes and want some easy staples), favorite “your nails but better” shades, and favorite gimmicky polishes. I would really like the first two because I want some suggestions curated in one video 💁♀️

China Glaze has the best Halloween polishes, period. I love all your picks! I'd add China Glaze Immortal and Finger Paints Th-ink Outside the Box, though I can't guarantee either are still available. (My collection goes back around 15 years and who knows what's in there.) Zoya Storm isn't a unique polish anymore, but it is a pretty one (black with scattered holo.)

I definitely Have some Halloween faves from china glaze.. keep it realm and hex boyfriend being my tops. Though I really loved their 2021 Halloween collection.. 1st time I bought every color from a collection ❤

Love this video!! I was wondering if you know Essie - Rust Worthy? It's one of my favorite Halloween polishes! But I think it was limited edition sadly. I wish Essie would do more interesting shades like that!
I have I Love Your Guts (I think it was in a mystery box?) and it's such a cool polish. I wish I also bought But of Corpse at the time. I also tried to get Spell the Tea, but it was sold out everywhere I tried (online, China Glaze isn't available in Germany).
It's Fine from your Loud Lacquer collab is also great for Halloween, especially paired with purple which I'll try next :D
I love these video. You always do such a great job. Well, I’ll be watching a lot of your older videos from years ago, because I just got diagnosed with Covid. I went all this time without getting it and last night, I started feeling yucky. It felt like I had a frog 🐸 in my throat and I was losing my voice. I then started coughing this morning. I never get sick and can’t remember when the last time I got a cold or anything. We test weekly at my job and last night I got my results in an email and came back inconclusive and that never happens. So, I asked my husband to test me when I got up this afternoon and sure enough it was definitely positive. I work at a State Facility with the mentally challenged. I worked with someone last week that was positive, so I guess I was lenient enough with my mask wearing.

Starrily never restocks. Really nice stuff, but there are "not limited edition" shades I've been waiting for for years lol.
I agree ilnp is often 3 coats, but it's worth it! and dries pretty fast.
Came here to mention how much I love your makeup. I remember in one of your vlogs you mentioned being wary of bold lips cause people on the internet can be gross but that purple lipstick is fire with that eyeshadow look. Also love this video idea!
Edit: I do think ILNP really kills halloween shades that work throughout the year. Currently wearing Carrie (which I think was from the 2020 launch) which is super vampy red, but definitely gonna do a mani with eclipse (and the new orly wing it when i get it!!)
I find it really hard to come across good green polishes where I live (Tasmania). I'll have to order from Femme Fatale or I Scream Nails as I can't seem to find any available in stores.
