OMG! I used to go to Lafayette Mill (and the surrounding shops) all the time in my 20's. It was a favorite place to spend the day browsing. I have an antique wooden trunk, a mid-century carved wood mirror, and a set of silhouettes from there, plus other little jewelry baubles that I've probably lost by now. I haven't been up there in forever, but such a great place (as you found out)!
I went to an estate sale last weekend and all I can think about is how I held an exquisite brooch of jade and ivory carved into roses for $100 and I walked away…..I have been so pissed at myself since then.
I'm listening to her when she finds a awesome piece and I'm thinking Ya it's really nice. I think jewelry is a major turn on for some men. I love finding any beautiful pieces and keeping one of them for myself
