Where did u order yours from.? What kinda speeds are you getting..does it work with bad weather. Can u use it indoros do does the satellite need to be outside the house?
@@gerigame2995 Directly from the Starlink website. I have mine installed on the roof of a garden shed, the speed is inconsistent, at one point, in the beginning, I got 216.16 / 21.56 today it went as low as 9.65 down and 8.19 upload, the ping varies between 28 and 85ms. It works in every weather condition without a major reduction in speed. I only bought it for testing as I have a landline but I think they give you more band in the initial stages to then clock it down so I have stopped the service as of next month.
The fluctuation is cos the sats are moving around the earth mate. Sometimes they'll be right above you , other times your nearest one will be over France.
Its honestly been flawless mate. Couldnt recommend it highly enough. Had one outage for about 5 mins during a horrific storm last year but everything else stopped then too. Sky etc.
@@ChrisSloanes thanks Chris will definitely give it a go, also thinking if the government try to restrict content it will make it difficult for them to do it with starlink + to make a point too

@@ChrisSloanes can i ask what it is like when its cloudy/rainy? my part of london, the skies are usually overcast and grey so info about when it is rainy/cloudy would be amazing! Great Video though!
@@anonymoususerinterface makes no difference mate. Only been one bad storm where it went down for like 10 mins or so but at the same time so did Sky too.
Nothing at all mate. Its been off once in the year and bit ive had it but that was for around 20 minutes during a bad storm but my Sky went off at the same time that day too
Nice one. I'm thinking about it but I'm in a city location with just two balconies to work with (one east facing and the other west facing) so not sure if that would work.
Actually, the internet seems to be better than in many built-up areas or it is around where I live.. I can get 1000mbs speeds at a Ping/latency of 8ms and I live rural... yet in most towns around here is like 100mbs ish but latency generally is 30+ or a lot worse.... I find it very interesting because it used to be that we were yrs behind but we are now well ahead... I was jealous when everyone had broadband and we still had dial-up for years
Oh he probably did 😂😂 hard to keep up on the comments sometimes. Starlink has been great, I’ve changed it around a fair bit so I will be doing an update video once I get home next week. Well worth looking at if you don’t have a decent fibre connection
Did you manage to use it when away in the camper van? Just come back from scotland in the caravan and no phone or Internet killed me 😂 having to drive 5 miles to send a text im thinking starlink would have saved my bacon
It was around £550 for the equipment when I got it so more expensive. But in all fairness I can stop and start paying for it whenever and I own the gear. So if I’m away for 4 month I just don’t pay etc. there’s no contract if that makes sense. Plus you can take it with you, use it mobile and take it in a Campervan etc if you want too. I thought similarly at first but if I’m honest it’s been fantastic and for someone who was quoted £16k to have fibre ran to my door since I live rural, it’s very cheap in comparison.
When it comes to internet the UK is or can be as bad as a third world country! I mean come on. I came to the UK in 2002 and left at the time a cable internet connection in the outskirts of Lisbon of 100Mbps! In the uk I came to see the old fashion dial up! Today, 21 years on and the best I can get on a not so small town is 30Mbps FTTC. It's just absolutely horrible.
Could not agree more. We are shockingly bad and an embarrassment when it comes to forward thinking and planning. The fastest I could get where I live was around 1-1.5mbps until Starlink. Almost 2 years on and it’s been a game changer for me.
@@CarlosArruda77 still the same as when I first got it. Around 300-350 almost 100% of the time. Other than that it’s been completely perfect. I’m very impressed
@@VictorVictor-hq7ui if I could work there as an electric and gas engineer earning £50k+ per year maybe I would. Still for the life of me I can't understand how can people survive let alone live with €800 per month? Installed mine today in Lincolnshire, seems to be working well. Thanks for sharing 🙏

Also solar storms
To be fair though... There are now 7000 satellites dedicated to Starlink.
Would love to see you use it in your Van. Great video. Thank you. Loving all your videos. Big thumbs up 👍
Can i use this in a flat? I get like 6mpbs at the moment 😭😭
Im moving to an isolated rural location in 4 weeks and am praying that i can use this.
As long as there’s not a ton of trees overhead you definitely will. It’s fantastic.
Great video , could you stream live sport in hd to tv without buffering much and also is there a data cap per month
Good video but Where's the update that was meant to be a month later? Missed out on content there bud
Channel is about campervans and travelling so focused on that. Plus this video has made me £83 in nearly 3 year so it’s not exactly worth my time 😂
How are you getting on with it? Two years on?, i’m thinking of buying one now that I’m out of contract with Sky.

Try the Starlink app. It scans and checks for obstructions?
