Gary Willis and 2 guitar players with basses on their hands. Gary is the only bassist on this video. How noticeable is the difference in musicality! When Gary is doing the walking bass everything sounds good, but when he started to solo, the other 2 just couldn't keep up providing a SOLID GROUND.
i would like to mention one more thing here: Willis walks the high rod literally on this also. He maintains well through while Galvez is stomping all over him. Willis is also not loud enough obviously in the mix. The Multi Bass things is not my thing. Though if were going to get into it Willis has a centre and control few ever have possessed.
A lot of notes but no melody ? What do they want to ''say" ? Do I remember what they played? nothing to remember, just a bunch of pieces of scales going no where... in my opinion
The thing is this; Django and Wes swings their BUTTS off! This cat, not hearing that. Wilis swings way more like Wes though ego ( first dude) has a tone closer to Wes, i guess…or Django.

The only thing I dislike from this incredible performance is, when Gary's soloing, Di and Christian needs to come down a bit.
