Wow never heard of a half double crochet slip stitch. Pretty cool. That’s why I love seeing tutorials. Always something new and great to learn. Slipper looks very pretty and proffesional too!!!!
I am very, VERY new to crochet, but I've watched a few of your videos and I really appreciate how clearly you both explain and slowly demonstrate different stitches and techniques. The contrasting yarn makes it a lot easier to see things too! Thank you for such lovely videos, I think I'm going to make a pair of slippers once I can get consistent straight edges!
As I said on the other video if you want to not slip in these you can put a few hot glue dots right on the bottom of the slippers it has saved me from falling several times
@@MATVshow hmmm… Candlewax might crack and crumble off and wax makes things slippery. I think hot glue would work better OR sew on some of that bubbly rubber shelf liner stuff. It’s also used under rugs so they don’t slip 😊 Or how about some dabs of rubber cement? 👍
These worked up very quickly and were super easy to make. I love patterns like this that look super intricate but are easy enough to follow while watching TV. I made one pair on Sunday and I'm working on another pair now. This time I'm using a 4mm hook in an attempt to make it a little more of a formed slipper, if that makes sense. I'm also considering adding some no slip fabric or no slip glue dots to the bottom. These will make great Christmas gifts this year!
I appreciate the hints. I know how it crochet. But just blankets and hats and such. Saying about making it flat... And showing, makes sense to me. Giving the hints along the way saved me from making mistakes that may have appeared obvious to another. Thank you. Stay healthy.
So thankful for your video. You made it very easy to follow and give lots of techniques to make the slippers comfortable to wear. You are an excellent teacher. Cannot thank you enough.
52 years old and this is the first pattern I have learnt to do. I have never learnt patterns, just crocheted. WOW. This is great, thank you so much for the tutorial, you make it look so easy, love it, love it, love it ❤
The pattern I usually use for making slippers is not comfortable for folks with a high instep or swollen feet. These slippers are so pretty and would allow for these conditions!! Thank you so much for posting this lovely pattern and very detailed instructions. I can't wait to try to make a pair for my friend!!
Thank you for creating this pattern and video! I decided this design would be a really great way to learn new stitches, without wasting time:-). I’m going to make rectangles in the same measurements as the slippers using various new stitches I’ve discovered on TH-cam, and in the process of learning I will have created slippers for all of my friends and family to put away for birthdays or holidays or whatever:-). Planning for next Christmas this soon might not be such a bad idea:-).
I have been crocheting for many many years and never have seen such a pretty and easy slipper pattern. You explained it so swell thank you. I will be putting in a sole insert since my feet cannot tolerate yarn under them. Thank you for your perfect instructions. I will be making several.
I was wondering what I could use for the insert because I don't like the feel of yarn under my feet either. Now I know what to use. Thanks for sharing Cherokee Rose.
I have never ever made a review online. I have never crocheted before either. Been trying to learn for months now and I was able to make these slippers perfectly (my 1st crochet project). She spoke clearly, very patient, explanation of stitches and pattern were very easy to follow :)...
You are very good at making diy videos. The explanation is made simple to understand as well as slow enough to follow. Thank you for making this for us!
Thanks for the ankle stitching tip. I have made a similar slipper and wondered why the back always had a problem staying on. You can use puffy paint in dots on the bottom of the slipper too if you want to prevent slips
This is GREAT and truly I can make them fit every foot, even if the foot is wide in front, (like mine) or narrow, like my daughters. BRILLANT idea. I so wish I had the creativity to think up and design these types of things. I was thinking yesterday, UGH, I really need a NEW PAIR OF SLIPPERS. I'm so serious. New subscriber & soon I, she and my other daughter and (why not my son & step day) may have a NEW PAIR of slippers as well. These are great gifts. Much appreciation and I appreciate the written pattern too. TH-cam crochet tutorials tend to "get lost." Thank you!
Your work is so clean and beautiful. I ha e been crocheting for years since I was a little girl, over 50 years. My work isn't close to being as clean as yours. Great job
I’ve been crocheting for 50 years and never heard of a hdcslt but I love it and will be using it more often. I will be making them for sure. Thank You!
Exactly what I need for work! I'm a nanny and I don't like to wear my shoes in my family's home. These are cute and cozy both, win win. Thank you for this tutorial, Shehnaaz!
Clever using light and dark colors to show your work! I've been crocheting since 8 years old on and off and some tutorials work with dark colors and I don't understand why. Thank you, this is perfect and quick for gifts.
You are so easy to follow, I appreciate that you take your time showing us how to do it exactly!! It's been years since I've crochet. With your help I'm gonna do it. Bless you and thank you!!
I used to knit and crochet. I have been wanting to crochet lately and these slippers will be the perfect thing, thx so much for this video I will use it when I get my supplies love and blessings
This Canadian gal loves the design of these slippers. I'm in the process right now making my first pr. You explain everything so well. Thnxs for a great tutorial
Love, love, love this easy but very sturdy pattern. Thanks for the step by step lesson! I will be crocheting many of these slippers to keep busy the rest of the winter season.
Those slippers are really cute. I wear slippers in the house all the time, when you have cats you need to wear something soft. The cats appreciate the fact. These seem simple enough, I can make a few pair. Thank you so much and so do Tucker, Posy and Violet.
Great tutorial. Thank you so much. Really clear directions and, as a beginner crocheter, l really appreciate that you showed which loop/s to put the hook through, something I've never been sure of before.
Thank you for sharing your slipper pattern! It's a real simple and lovely slipper ! And thank you for teaching me a new stitch (half double slipstitch), it's a real pretty stitch!
I'm a beginner and am addicted thanks to your videos, you make it easy to follow along. Thank you! I love these slippers, I want to make a pair for everyone of my family members!! :)
I used to knit and a bit of crochet. I have been wanting to crochet lately and these slippers will be the perfect thing, thank you so much for this video. Love and blessings.
Hello and thank you kindly for a fantastic job making one slipper and showing us how to do it. Your video, the details in it, your calm and patience is so very much appreciated. Again ty ;) I subscribed and will also use your pattern. Good day
In Covid seclusion right now and finishing a 2nd pair of bootie style slippers, going to make these next. I like that I don’t have to follow a pattern and have to constantly count stitches and rows. I’ve been using Forever Fleece Finer by Bernat and I think it will be perfect for these. Thanks for my next project and a new stitch to use.
I love the idea and intend to make me a pair in the next few days. I'm not going to bother with buttons though, as my slippers will have to withstand very frequent washing. I'm also going to add another layer to the bottom to make thicker soles. I have tiled floors and don't want my feet to get cold when I'm wearing these.
Thank you so much. U explain it all so well in a clear concise voice. U r a good teacher. I'm inspired to make this even though I'm a novice. Simple slippery but looks good too. 👏
I'm your newest subscriber. Your directions are very clear and precise. I would think that anyone who is a beginner would find your videos very helpful. While I'm not a beginner, I appreciate how you teach.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have finished my slippers today after first struggling to crochet straight sides, but they looking good. Wish I could show you.....
Wow great clear instructions. I thought this was going to be so hard..... I haven’t tried yer, however you explained the instructions so well. Going to get yarn tomorrow! Thank you!
I haven’t watched the video, I have real garbage internet. But I wanted to say thank you and I subscribed purely because you liked and answered every comment and question, most do not do this! Thank you!! Looking forward to other videos! 😀
This IS a beautiful pattern and I too thought it would be really hard! Thank you for going through each step so well, AND teaching me more new things, new stitches! I love it! I thank you so much!! You were a good teacher and fun to watch this tutorial! This is definitely going on my To Do List for Christmas gifts! Hopefully I’ll have time to make a pie for myself! If not right away, I surely will be because I love your pattern! Thank you again! 🥰😍👍🏻👍🏻💖
I really love wearing slippers and socks, & crocheting. I am excited to try to make these adorable slippers. Just subscribed & looking forward to seeing more of your crocheted projects to do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Take care and may God be you and yours very abundantly. A E
What a wonderfull pattern very very well explained as well! Thank you! And I am very greatfull for the fact that you even included stitch counts for big feet in your written pattern...

What a cute pair of slippers. Those buttons add elegance. Thank you for sharing. 💖🌹💐🌺
Glad you like them!
As I said on the other video if you want to not slip in these you can put a few hot glue dots right on the bottom of the slippers it has saved me from falling several times
This is s great suggestion. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, I was looking to make non-slip slippers. Hot glue dots, I don't know exactly what they are, though!
@@maryflannery6805 i think its a glue stick put it in a glue gun then just make a couple of small round glues on the bottom...
I think a candle wax would work the same

Thanks for the written pattern, I don't have the patience to sit through a video, so I appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for teaching us how to make these slippers, and for being so thorough! 😄
Happy to help!

These remind me of the slippers my grandmother used to make. She knitted instead of crocheted, but seeing these made me really nostalgic.
I made a knit slipper like this long time ago too, but can't remember how. I know I loved it.

You are so welcome! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have finished my slippers today after first struggling to crochet straight sides, but they looking good. Wish I could show you.....
The rectangle will be a little lopsided. That is the nature of the stitch and that is fine. You just have to tug at it and fold to make your slipper.
Beautiful will try. I have a lot of buttons that I can use up.Well done and simple.
Wonderful!
I Really like these! This could become very addicting. Now I need to think of people in my life that would like a pair! 😃👍🏻❤️
