South African Steam: Helderberg Vintage Railway GO 2575 Sep 2002

In September 2002, Helderberg Vintage Railway ran a day trip from Somerset West to Botrivier and return. A water issue on the outbound trip meant that the Garratt required diesel haulage to Elgin on the outbound trip, where water was available. From there the GO handled the train solo for the rest of the day, and did it in fine style!
