    Very well explained. But whatever difficulty the company has faced while manufacturing, that should not pose any impact on the customer. So 1197 price is justified, but the 2499 is not.
    Companies do face problems, that's why they face losses. Lekin kisiko website pe jatate nehi dekha.

    You can’t charge your customers for all the losses that you bear because of your carelessness. Also, if the Mrp comes out to be 2499 and you are selling this for 1197 ans still you are making profits. You can’t earn 100% on one box that you sell. Please keep that in mind

    After 35min also i still don't understand why it's 2499. Its 399+399+400(mug)=1198. Even if u charge 400 for mug it would still be 1198 only not 2499.
    Atleast the old gift set was better as it had 3 coffees and price was justified.
    if ur charging 2499 for gift box then does it mean the packaging cost was 1300 and actual products in the gift is cheaper you get coffee + chocolate+mug for 1198

      Packaging is probably free since her father has an offset printing business. She herself has mentioned about it in this video. Even if her father charged her, it should not be more than 50/- or 100/- per box. Minimum 1k is toh profit only na?

      I am a big time supporter of Sarah.. I love her Boss lady vibes.... So this comment meant no hatred towards her or her brand... I whole heartedly support women entrepreneurs who are making a mark... But just because her manufacturer made a blunder she just can't charge her customers so much for such small products.. Those mugs look below average.

    So why should people pay for all the downs the brand went there? Outward and all words use karke u basically are saying u dint plan it well and dint plan the risk mitigation
    I work for a multi million project but we dont thug our employer for delays and risks at our end ! If delays are by us then as a brand we have to bear the losses !
    So much rant to make yourself feel better !

      And stop giving false image that all brands do the same. I am not sure how well read are you but brands put effort in keeping the name at the cost of losses.
      Zomato , Dunzo and many others are not yet highly profitable but their brand name and their customer support is what keeps them most preferred and running !

      The answer to your question is within your comment itself.
      You yourself are telling that you work for a "MULTI MILLION PROJECT" so ofcourse your brand/company would be able to bear the losses, whereas Impulse Coffees is a very small company and cannot obviously bear so much loss.
      Also get things cleared first before just passing on comments,
      Never in the video did Sarah mention that her customers should pay for all the losses that the company had to bear.
      If she really wanted to cover up the losses she could sell the giftsets for ₹2499 but she didn't do that instead she held herself/her company accountable for the loss and sold/is still selling the giftsets at a very low price even though it is not profitable.
      She has shot and uploaded this video only to clear out all the misunderstandings and miscommunications going on regarding this issue and if you still feel like all this was a rant then you better stop watching her videos or commenting under them

      Point here is , the feel good video these young kids post with sooo much rant in it is where the issue lies. Sooooo much ranting, sooo many explanations !!! I agree its a new brand but she got ambitious with it , why should a customer pay for your highly ambitious project ????
      Tmrw i get highly ambitious and do a screw up , shall i cry and make my company just validate my emotions ???? These highly ambitious influencers need to grow up , thats what the point is. Their major audiences are teens , not adults , Teens !
      Plus they act themselves like teens , no one learning anything valuable from one another. If a product dint work dint work, sooooo much logistical explanation for what ?

      Neither are the customers bearing the loss nor is the shipping company or the mugs manufacturer bearing the loss, Sarah herself is bearing all the loss.
      This topic was getting way to controversial and she had to address this issue that's the reason this video was uploaded.
      It is not some kinda rant session or feel good video where she is taking out all her frustration.
      She felt that it was her responsibility to keep her audience and customers aware about everything that's going on at the back end of the brand as well and hence the video.

    Please answer :
    1. You faced issues in design of the box but eventually design making did not cost you anything set aside increasing the manufacturing cost. So why are you even mentioning this in this video.
    2. You mentioned that you failed to place order for coffee on time so you had to take out coffee stock from warehouse which increased cost of your coffee. But answer me this you cannot charge your customers extra for your blunder. Customers are only supposed to pay for what they are buying not for the mistakes of the owner of the company. As a owner when you knew it got messed up here you should have dropped the gift box and incurred the losses. Instead you went ahead to wasoli the paisa from your customers? Whats the fault of customers, they like you thats why they buy your products and you did this?
    3. You mentioned in video clearly that if hot chocolate didnt perform well my initial plan was so put the remaining stock in gift box. Seriously. You were planning to put a failed product in special gift boxes and call it kaafi sara pyar?
    4. You also knew at one point that these mugs costs 100-150 in market but they costed you 450 because of sum up of your wrong decisions. Then why did you sell them at 450. You should have absorbed the extra cost yourself. Customer do not pay for mistakes of the owner of the company. Owner pays for his mistakes.
    5. Anywhere price cannot be mentioned more than mrp. Its not ethical. Its very simple. Why didn’t it strike you earlier?
    I asked all these questions because i am curious for answers. No hate. I am still in awe of a 21-22 year old being a brand owner. What you have achieved for your age is still impressive.

      If this is bothering you - what happened to me might make you feel better
      I bought a course at X amount from a cheater marketing coach and now that cheater is selling the course at a damn 95% off and that amount was very big for me I had to take a loan from relative.
      Have to vent it so thought here? Ik not relevant to Sarah in any way but I think this is how marketing works?

    It's because of your mistake and your fault you cannot put the loss price as MRP how fair is this. 2499?? Worth product's are also not in the box. Mrp is really not justified MRP of 1199 is onlyy correct. Nobody puts losses in MRP price

      Apologies but every brand works in that format, they won't disclose what they are charging for but all costs borne by the company have to be covered in product margins :)

      @@yoursnottruly it's not that simple. Selling cost is decided after taking into consideration 1. What price the customers are willing to pay, 2. How much the competitors are charging & of course 3. The worth.
      Otherwise if you make the product too pricey, no one will buy yours, customer will go to other brands.

    We are proud of you. I do have a point here. Your coffees are selling good because they speak for the quality of the COFFEEE and "NOT" the packaging. As a brand you already have beautiful designs packaging, etc. on your products. I know gift boxes mean that it has to look applealing , but think of it Sara. What is the main product here? Your box ?? or the inside products?? Even a few days back my parents pointed out that upcoming new brands are focusing too much on not so important things like packaging and increasing the cost of the product. Your major audience are majorly students or girls. You receive so many PR from brands. How many BOXES you have kept it just because it looks or feels expensive??? You always keep and use the products inside it and not the outer boxes. This is the major reason why this gift box felt expensive to everyone.

      Packaging is a big part of such brands.. My uncle does such packaging stuff and I've seen how it works.. Yes i get its the product which should speak but packaging is also a very important part.. This is a small scale brand but in even little bigger scale brands, they'll have a whole separate team just for packaging..

      She has clearly explained in the video as to why the MRP on the website was marked ₹2499 and I don't think you understood that properly

    Hey Sarah! Let me tell you, I'm proud of you. I was surprised to hear about ll the minute details and costs that go into a product. Thanks for explaining the costing of ship rocket. As a customer, I would never come accross this part of warehousing (outward cost/ inward cost, etc.) It was really good to hear this story. Very often we will like our 9 to 5 job is boring, but through this video I came to know that entrepreneurship is more more hectic. But as you said, you've got to learn a lot from this experience and that is more important.
    Sarah squard is very understanding, but if you would have made this video before the sale went live on the website, it would have been better, IMO, as the customers would understand it better and were free to make an "informed decision". Plus, you wouldn't get such bad comments.
    Talking about the comments, they were way too mean and harsh. There's aways a better way to give a feedback. Anyway, ignore such people.
    All the best for many more sales to come. You would surely make them successful as you now better now.

    The customer shouldn't have to pay extra for whatever blunder happened from company's side. It's just not ethical. Plus the thing you said about putting hot chocolate in the box incase it didn't do well in market is just not sitting right with me. This would make new customers to think twice before buying from the company.

      @@nailasaqlain7478 coffee is only very expensive she is getting very huge margin as profit, 400 for 50gns of coffee 1kg = 8000rs. But still if v consider to pay for coffee also considering the quality and taste she is adding shipping seperately v shud pay 500 rs for 50 gms of coffee.

    As a business owner, you should know that not every cost needs to be passed to a customer. You need to absorb some. You can’t just sell things and be like - ohhhhh yeah I wouldn’t pay more than 150 also😩😂😂

    I ordered mocha pe chuka coffee…it is definitely delicious…but one think I want to say here is shipping cost is really too much(₹100). I will think before buying it again just bcuz of higher shipping cost. Don’t take it in negative way.

    Sara di you are so much transparent sometimes we ge fraud by some websites and some shopping sites but i have got a gift box gifted from my frnd on Christmas and it's the box which made my day and it's ok if it had happen we lose so much of money unknowingly.     Sadly this gift set is not for everyone, only for specific people. What about the people who love Espresso and Mocha coffee variants?? What is available for them?? This is really not expected from such good quality coffee brand impulse coffees. Very disappointed. If you want to create, create for all , everyone should fit in.

    Hey dear, in my opinion, you might have avoided putting 2499 on website since it is under ur control. Coz literally no body even cares about the behind costs. Bitter truth is everyone thinks that business takes 50% profit which will never be the case. More than they think, stating one fact everywhere is actually better even in your personal and professional life. But whatever that one comment is stating is not at all fair. We see ur hardwork. As you said take this as lesson only.

    Most of ur consumers are students for whom price matters more than packaging.
    I think u spent a bit too much on packaging increasing the final cost.
    A simple box with same content minus the cost of that box would have been much desired

    Let’s just stick to the facts here
    1) the controversy is not about the price of the gift boxes, but the marketing gimmick which made the consumer believe that they were getting some deal/offer price but the truth is the prices were never sloshed.
    2) you are doing business and not running a charitable trust , so you have all rights to make profits , if the prices of manufacturing , warehouse etc..
    Has gone up , you could have raised the price of the product instead
    3) this video here where you are trying to justify the price markup or address the controversy , the first half feels really unnecessary. Yes, businesses have ugly sides , running business is hard and blah blah
    But how does that relate to
    Current context of the controversy ? Just like when you make profits you don’t share it with customers, if you make losses also you don’t share it with customers.

    As a follower, I'm very proud of what you have achieved at an young age, I'm your admirer but As a customer I wouldn't like to pay for company's mistakes (we understand that it's not intentional) , moreover when the product is not worth the price I'm paying for. Also a fixed percentage of rework/damage cost would be included not the whole unexpected damage cost which is an abnormal cost. This goes same for quality control cost. Hopefully these mistakes don't happen to you going forward and you earn a good profit 😊

      This is not fair…. You can’t put your loses in MRP and sell them… we pay the amount for the products not your loses breakage and stuff….. it’s your responsibility to take care of everything before hand and to avoid all these… if the products are not worth the money who would want to buy them… it’s pure greed… Its not box of pyaar… I have already rejected the gift box after seeing one of the customer’s box…..

      It is not about being transparent but she is trying to cover up what she jas done. She has put an amount of 2k when she wanted to sell the product for the highest selling price. She never gave an offer to her sarah squad and just played with there mind by placing a fake flash price. WHY SHOULD ANY OF THE AUDIENCE PAY FOR HER LOSS. WHY SHOULD HER AUDIENCE SUFFER AND PAY THIS MUCH. IT IS LALACH AND YOU ARE STILL COVERING IT UP.     Yes, Delhi vendors do take 1 week leave for Diwali, even the courier vendors. Trust me, Mumbai vendors are more professional than the North vendors. Mumbai vendors have transparent way of communication, even in case if delays the communicate a justifiable reason of delay unlike the vendors in the North
