The Japanese wiki stated that she is retired from music industry at 1992 in New York, with no known activities or public appearance. Knowing that her real name is Akiko Obara, maybe she's back using that name now. And to think that, since many famous person get tired of fame sometimes, she could decided to throw it all away and live a quiet, peaceful life.
Meiko nakahara had so many hit songs and she basically ruled the 80s - early 90s .. sad that she disappeared from music business
