That emotional rush feeling you get when you listen to your playlist from years ago. You've tapped back in with those memories you had totally forgotten. The time and place you were when you had this playing...
+Sassy Potato Copy/Paste "Nova Rockafeller - Tre Pound and Piece of Sh#*t (OFFICIAL VIDEO)" into the search for another young rapper who does a similar concept, with a first song being usual rap lyrics (bragging, talking smack, etc.) and the second song (after a fade out) being raw honesty about being lonely/scared/depressed. Seems similar to the concept of the "first and second half of this song is like the good trip and the bad trip". it is a girl from Jamaica with decent chops (especially for her age, kinda like Chance). Hope you enjoy.
Sometimes it's great like J. Cole or Chance but most of the times it's totally shit because they're up and coming, production isn't up to par to be considered good. But in this case Chance has an amazing production team with him and J. Cole is just flat out a great producer himself.
+Corey Deangelo I wish he would have made a CD and Vinyl copy of this. There's bootlegs everywhere, but he should have officially did it. I would have bought a CD copy and a vinyl copy.
+Corey Deangelo It took this free album for anyone to really notice him, cheap motherfuckers wouldn't take a chance on a rapper they haven't heard before (no pun intended). It was a brilliant move, put out an album for free, make money from tours... He's still caking it up, he just had to get his name out there...
The second song "Paranoia" helped me get through a tough time in my life. Used to play this on repeat after losing my brother to cancer a year ago. Song always reminds me of him. Miss you bro
I love the way this young crop of rappers (Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Nova Rockafeller, Joey Badass, etc.) are able to slip in deep songs amongst the songs that have a more typical message. Most rap is braggadocios and macho, and each of them are skilled at that as well, but they also include songs that show vulnerability and humanity. It takes guts to admit that we are all lonely, depressed, or apathetic at times, or to take a brutally honest evaluation of you/your situation. I not only admire their skills when it comes to writing, word-play, etc., but also their guts and honesty. The best art is often the most honest/raw.
+Cassius Morris nice to see im not the only one that can listen to some good hip-hop and still enjoy my fair share of pink floyd. peeped your profile pic
"Everybody dies in the summer You should pray for a little more Spring" This dude NEEDS to be invested in by a big distributor. His potential is off the charts
Donal Thoms-Cappello hey it’s the future, and his potential was squandered. Also, the world is being conquered by a petty disease. Go back to 2014, it was a better time.
Chance the Rapper is original and he has some pretty dope metaphors and puns. He knows how to write a song and what does it matter if its a album or mixtape. This ALBUM! deserved to be purchased its really good. nanana na na na
I remember seeing this album cover on people's phones on the morning bus, wondering if I was missing out on something good... I WAS AND NOW I WANNA KMS :):):)
This song has the same feeling as Kendrick's M.A.A.D city playful in the begging, then shit gets serious and the way the beat and hook switches is epic
Honestly the second verse is one of my favorite hip hop verses ever... it's not only about the lyrics and the flow but the beat works beautifully with it all... love this song
That pause between songs? Apple Music doesn’t have that, Apple music doesn’t even get the significance of that, damn thanks for making this chance, you made my senior year in highschool
bruh I remember when I first heard this song was because I was scared as fuck so I listened to some music to calm me down. I remeber when it got to the I know you scared part and I completely lost my shit
FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW,PUSHA MAN AND PARANOIA ARE CONNECTED FOR A REASON. Let me explain, its basically one day Pusha Man is day Paranoia is night In Pusha Man(DAY) he's around his friend he feels good and shit like he says. But in Paranoia(NIGHT) He starts to think about how he's a typical gangster druggie and he starts to think how scary the place he lives in really is.
the subdued nature of Chance’s voice and him sounding younger really kills me at the end. It’s the simple emotions of wanting to be wanted but the rest of the song makes it feel like I’m watching a soldier who knows they are about to walk into an i winnable war bid their loved ones goodbye. His vocals lowering in volume makes it sound like he’s already gone.
+Eminem FTW sorry, I'm not super familiar with Chance as a person, or his history I've just heard a lot of his songs, is he just singing about the things he's realized, and reflected on from his acid trips?
I saw someone break down Chance's mixtape's and how his position of his head is symbolic. 10 Days he is looking up, Acid Rap hes looking straight ahead and Coloring Book he is looking down. They tried saying that this was him looking at the rap game, first looking up being envious, being in the game creating with Acid Rap and then maturely looking down at the rap game after years of creating. I got this idea that it is more him looking at God. Acid Rap is him looking God in the face, partially to the hallucinations, euphoria and experiences with the psychedelics. Just a random thought, love Acid Rap and love Chance as a person. Stay Golden
"I hate crowded beaches, I hate the sound of fireworks" been listening to this song for many years and I realized that when he mentioned those lines, it is from the month of June/July (summer)

The hook on Pusha man sounds like what chocolate tastes like, just those smooth silky synths and the voices sound so calming and reassuring for some reason
This kid so dope! I'm glad he is reppin the "GO" and not that other dude who shall remain nameless. I'm willing to bet that he's gon be the Kendrick Lamar of 2014.
You can definitely feel that Eminem influence in his flow, especially during Paranoia. That's one of the things I love most about Chance, he has so many different flows and voices and they're all amazing in their own original way.
I remember listening to this song on repeat back in the day! This song more than any other captures the picture of my youth. I'm still 22, but it's that feeling of childhood/teenage innocence where you and your gang of misfit friends are just enjoying life and doing all kinds of stupid shit. The first half makes me happy and reminiscent of those memories, while the second half brings me down a peg and makes me realize I'm an adult now and that time has passed. A very bittersweet, nostalgic feel.
I wouldn't be in a good mood while listening that part I'll explain why. it's about how he finally realizes that this isn't the lifestyle he wanted he hangs with his friend who is a drug dealer and he is paranoid about being see as a typical gangster druggie.
@@kingkunta3753 That's when he realizes that this isn't the life he wants to live & he realizes the situation he's in. He doesn't want to live like a druggie in Chicago.

***** Still applies.
+Daniel Teffera paranoia is dope boiii
Second half is so sad. All these rappers glorify the violence in Chicago, but Chance shows how sad it really is
It’s still bigger than hip hop
@R theres other rappers that experience it like that too and they hate it and so do many people from chicago.
@R actually yes he did, chance is from the southside of Chicago. Same side Keef and all them are from.
