Kevin Lau: Between the Earth and Forever (ROCO, with Andy Lin, erhu)

ROCO’s In Concert series continued with “Beauty is in the Eye” on February 8, 2020. The performance, led by conductor Christopher Rountree in his ROCO debut, featured the premiere of "Between the Earth and Forever" by Kevin Lau, a concerto for the erhu, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument, performed by Andy Lin.

Other works on the program included William Grant Still’s tone poem “Darker America”, exploring themes of sorrow, hope, and prayer, plus works by Jean-Féry Rebel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the next three new works in ROCO's FIFteen Project.
