Damn. Good for Steph. So many eyes have been on him for so long, many believed in him and many doubted him. Steph is so inspiring!!! You can tell this one absolutely hits different, there are so many reasons why and most people who follow basketball know why. Man, I loved seeing this for him, you can tell he wanted this, the 4th ring, his first Finals MVP, steph is so happy and proud of himself you can just feel how special this was to him and for us to be able to feel like we were apart of it is enlightening. Even Steph calls it his "God given abilities" and I believe that to be true. Steph was born to be the greatest shooter of all-time. Him stepping into that role and maximizing his potential through so much doubt and adversity is a lesson for all of us! Honestly, I don't think much would have changed for Steph in most peoples eyes even if they lost these finals, but man was I really pulling for him and the Warriors, he deserves this moment! Congrats to Steph and the Warriors!

    • @BrucknerMotet

This one hit different mainly b/c of the redemption effect. Two years off the mark, health issues, and doubters doubting whether the core could rise to the challenge ever again. And here we are. Doubters disproved. Redemption gained. The sadness of "fading away" joyously replaced by the exhilaration of a Wiggs fadeaway jumper.

@@greenonionsalad hm why do you say that? Steph is the one who said it! And if he said it with a big smile on his face then he must believe it deeply. I wonder what your view of God is... I believe we all have God given abilities. We are all uniquely and divinely made, God is our ability for us to create. We are all anointed with the power of God. I bet if you ask Steph he'd be the first to thank God for the gifts He gave him and absolutely give Him glory!!! He talks openly about his faith. It's not about religion and "always making it about God" sorry if that's how you interpret it. That ideology is wrong and has always been wrong!! Sometimes players show pure elation when they win a championship, the kind of joy that doesn't know any burdens. Other times you see players who look very happy, but simultaneously drained: Jordan in 96, LeBron in 16, and Steph in 22. Those types of performances are where you can see they totally emptied the tank to win. Really happy for this Warriors group, even though they aren't my favorite franchise.

In my heart of hearts, I truly believe that Isiah would never have even thought of Kobe because he really is only bringing up lebron to prop him up as part of his shade campaign towards MJ. The only reason he threw Duncan's name in the mix was to try to make himself not look so obvious. If Isiah were TRULY looking to talk about all the great players that have carried this era of younger generation players and been the icinic faces of the league, there is no way he would have forgotten to mention Kobe. That's what I believe.
