That way it doesn't give the later people the advantage of seeing how this current turn can be used for the next one. Right around 43:29 Megan the daughter rolls 22 on gold, and only takes 3 golds. But had 2 unused tools. If she would use those two tools, she'd have 24, for 4 gold.

There's alot of rules you get wrong you have to declare you are using your tools before you roll you replace the cards after you have payed for your meeples the resource card isn't a one time use tool it automatically gives you a new tool from the pile and I just watched half of the video couldn't stand the rules you got wrong
