I noticed that your default/home geodatabase for your project template was copied to the new project folder when you created a new project from the template. But a new default geodatabase ending in "2" was also created in your new project. This seem like a recipe for having multiple copes of your data floating around if you are not using an Enterprise Geodatabase connection. Is there a way to avoid this scenario?

I tried to follow this, but my local file database connections were not retained in the template. Is there a way to save these in a template?

I would like to set a folder connection that is remembered across all new projects as it is in ArcMap under Folder Connections. Is that possible?

Hi DCARA06 - yes this is possible! Both options in the video may work for you (Project Templates and Project Favorites), however I suspect that the second option using Project Favorites is what you are looking. It mimics the behaviour you're used to seeing in ArcMap. Check out the part of the video at 5:06 that discusses this option. Hope this helps!

@@esricanadasupport6444 Thank you for the reply. I open ArcGIS Pro without using a template so that I don't litter my files with .aprx files for instances when I am exploring datasets but don't want to save the project. I just don't want to have to drill down through my C drive to my OneDrive GIS project location each time I start an untitled project and Add Data. With ArcMap the stored folder connections were handy for saving the root connection to drives such as onedrive. They were also super easy to explain to a class full of students who are just learning GIS and will need to add the connections themselves.
