Hello, is the PEM coated with catalyst, or did you put the catalyst on the GDL and the PTL?!
GDL
ok, why are you combining the H2 and O2 outlets and storing them in the tank? is it possible to store H2 only? and how much percent H2 will be pure?
The output ports for H2 and O2 are separate. You can choose to store H2 or O2 separately.
Is it works only with pure water? or it need potassium hydroxide similar to the HHO generators? Does this cell needs only 2 volts? Really thanks for your valuable video, for a while I was searching about PEM electrolysers, but could not understand its working till watch your video, thanks
1.Just pure water.KOH or NaOH will damage PEM electrolyzers
2. Extraordinary parameters are involved and need specific parameters to be known.
Thank you very much for recognizing our videos.
@@senzahydrogen what about Nahco3? Is it safe for the cell.

Using sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃), commonly known as baking soda, instead of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in an alkaline hydrogen generator might not be the most effective choice. These two compounds, though both alkaline, differ in their chemical properties and reaction mechanisms.
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH): It's a strong base that fully dissociates in water, producing a large number of hydroxide ions (OH⁻). This makes NaOH highly effective in hydrolysis or other chemical reactions, especially in applications where rapid and efficient hydrogen generation is required.
Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO₃): This is a weak base and does not dissociate in water as completely as NaOH. In water, NaHCO₃ primarily generates carbonate ions and a smaller amount of hydroxide ions. Therefore, its alkalinity and reactive properties are less pronounced compared to NaOH.
In alkaline hydrogen generators, an alkaline environment is usually necessary to facilitate the electrolysis of water for efficient hydrogen production. Using NaHCO₃ might lead to lower reaction efficiency due to its weaker alkalinity, potentially not achieving the hydrogen production rate and efficiency of NaOH.
However, this also depends on the specific system design and operating conditions. In some cases, using NaHCO₃ might have unique advantages, such as in controlling the system's pH or under certain reaction conditions. But overall, NaOH, due to its strong alkalinity, is generally the more common choice in alkaline hydrogen generators.
Can you tell dimensions of plates used, meshes, radii of screws
what is the maximum distortion allowed for joining bipolar plate fabrication?
In bipolar plates, deformation represents multiple variables. For example, waviness, warpage ,
burr , etc. We will adjust according to our custom products. And I really can't give you the relevant parameters, I'm very sorry.

This is a system for cars but in your products you have fuel cells to recharge batteries of photovoltaic systems (48v)?
You are referring to the idea of using hydrogen fuel cells as a supplementary energy system for photovoltaic systems. This concept is indeed feasible in theory, and we have a complete educational system that demonstrates the integrated process of solar energy, water electrolysis for hydrogen production, and hydrogen fuel cell power generation (senzahydrogen.com/products/solar-hydrogen-energy-lab-kit). However, for personal home applications, we do not recommend this approach due to the dangers, complexities, and high costs associated with hydrogen storage systems.
hi, what is microplate? what material is it made of?
It is also called the Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL).It is electronic conductor between the MEA and BPP, ensures efficient mass transfer of liquids and gases between the electrodes and the BPP.Its material is titanium

how many liters per minute H2?
This depends on the size of your current and the number of PEM proton membranes, as well as their reaction area. In this video, we are using our 150ml model. If you are interested in this, you can click on this link.senzahydrogen.com/products/pem-hydrogen-generator

how can this be possible with only pure water? doesnt the water require ions like salt in order for the electricity to make electrolysis?
The reason PEM electrolyzers use pure water is that they utilize a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) to facilitate the electrolysis process. Unlike traditional methods of electrolysis, this method does not require additional electrolytes like salt. The PEM allows protons to pass through but blocks electrons, making the electrolysis process more efficient and pure. This is because there are still small amounts of natural ions in pure water sufficient for electrolysis, and the PEM technology enhances the efficiency of this process. Additionally, using pure water avoids the generation of unnecessary chemical byproducts, which is particularly important in hydrogen production.
