I found I just had my phone volume button turned down to lowest setting. Notifications were loud enough. I pushed my phone up volume button and got the sound back

I appreciate this video because it helped me figure out youtube had been muted somehow! It took a little bit of adjusting on my end, since the settings looked different for me. If anyone else had that problem, it was under Settings>Privacy and Security>Content>Additional Content Settings>Sound

@@terrywade6075 mine was different, check privacy & security > site settings - for some reason youtube was set to block audio. no clue how or why, as it was working a few hours ago. good luck!

Well I have volume and sound on everything except this one movie I wanted to watch that first came out when I was a kid and even though I sent it to a friend of mine to her phone and it has the sound I still don't have any sound here .

For a while I had no sound on my computer, but I uninstalled and reinstalled the sound card and viola! The sound was back

There aren't the 3 vertical dots on my computer screen to the right of the search box - what can I do ? (I have an Apple Mac and have Google Chome on the left hand side of my screen and Fiefox on the right. There is no sound on TH-cam from both browsers.)
this is random but every time I'm in a zoom meeting, if I have a youtube tab in the background to watch some once I've completed my work, the sound won't work and as soon as I leave the meeting it works straight away. Is there a solution to this?
This happened to me too, I found out it was because of my headphones and the settings I had my google meet connected to them. I ended up changing the mic and audio settings because my headphones were cancelling out other tabs. Try that?

@@bridgesteve3550 No actually, I think it's how they were coded maybe? When I changed the setting of my mic in google meets the audio was no longer static like, and I could listen to things on other tabs during breaks.

I’m having some problems with sound on my TH-cam channel. When I narrate my video it’s works on the computer. When I upload it to TH-cam it’s gone and no sound. It was working fine the last three weeks.

Let me guess that you did not watch this on your cell phone because I can't see anything it says on the cell phone as it is ridiculously small
When I record video on TH-cam i can hear other videos i recorded but my last one i can't hear me yet i check other videos sound is normal? I am sure it's something odd i have done but what? I’m so confused, my headphones are not muted, though TH-cam is just super soft. I have to have it on volume 100 to hear anything. Please help in need it so bad 😅😢
I don't know what Windows version I have but when I clicked on settings in the Chrome drop-down menu I was able to search site settings in the search bar and then scroll down to TH-cam. I then scroll down to sound and it said blocked. I right clicked it and then clicked on automatic default
I don't have no sound but like weird sound? it suddenly became very distorted on youtube the sound of people was way too low and the sound of the music was high but when there was only music there was low volume
Download the video thats glitching in 144p. It seems to reset the audio for some reason. Its the only thing I've found that works. I hope this helps!

For me it was the "Volume Mixer" in Windows and Firefox sound was turned off, could'nt fint that setting anywhere else.

In It turned out that I had accidentally swiped down on the sound on the pull up page from the bottom of the screen.

and how this happended for me is when I restarted my PC to fix discord.
I fixed my sound problem very easily. I have an IPhone. On the home screen the volume setting was all the way down preventing any sound. Just slide your finger on the sound.
(Husband Bob) 1. Tried Google Browser Settings. We use Waterfox Browser. No change. 2. Tried Windows Settings > Sound > Troubleshoot > Feedback. No sound after audio driver update, at first. Windows indicated it was still rummaging around. "Please don't reboot." About 1 minute later...KABOOM! Yes, all my audio was at max. Then at 3:50 mm:ss this video audio CAME ALIVE! Sorry I cannot be more specific. System functionality seems to be under constant attack by cyber security upgrades. Thanks for the tutorial!

You need to update your video with one little tidbit added. I followed your troubleshooting guide with no luck but, you did mention Google Chrome at one point, which inspired me to try to switch from Microsoft Edge (my default browser) to Google Chrome. Guess what? Simply getting rid of Microsoft Edge in lieu of Chrome fixed my sound issues with TH-cam.

Firefox is my preference, but going to chrome didn't fix the problem for me because the sound was already turned on.

It is on TH-cam on my smart tv always have to put volume on max 100 and still some videos the sound is very low.

I can hear the first video i watch and then i cant hear anything? And i did what u did?
Sony TV sound just randomly stops working on youtube on BOTH of our Sony Tvs that are in different rooms. One is a 65" 80 series from Costco. One is a 55" 85 series from Best Buy. They both do it randomly. Both are connected to a SONY Receiver using HDMI and use eArc.
The only way I can fix either of them, is to unplug the power cable from the back of the TV. I have tried stopping the app under settings and deleting cache/storage.
I have tried turning restarting the Sony Receiver. I have tried unplugging and plugging the HDMI back in.
The only reliable way to get the sound back on the TH-cam app on the Sony TVs is to manually unplug the power from the TV and plug it back in.
Sometimes the audio also randomy stops on any browser on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop also connected to the 65" Sony Tv. To fix that usually unplugging then plugging the HDMI back in fixes it. Sometimes I have to do a full restart on the laptop to get audio back.
I always make sure all drivers are up to date on the laptop (windows 10). I also always check to see if either Sony TV has any updates to apply and apply them.
On my chromebook.i can hewr fine os on my phone thst i cant hear
