      Thanks for watching Mr. Taco!!! I really wish I would’ve got a clip of the bear but I wasn’t thinking about filming anymore on the way down.

      They are really great. I was on the search for an easy to setup on a moments notice and the ability to stand in it and it works perfect for that. If this one is too pricy check out Topo Toppers they are pretty nice and a little cheaper. My buddy Jonny Taco Outdoors has one of those on his Tacoma. Thanks for watching Jen! 👍🏻🏕️

    That cap is so cool man. I’ve been thinking of cutting a hatch out of mine to do a pop up but I think I’d use it for storage not sleeping… and to give standing space.

      Yeah it's been a great addition! Super fast and easy to setup and I can still punch the truck down those tight forest roads! Being able to stand up in the thing is REALLY nice - and it's nice when you need to hunker down when the weather turns, although with all that stuff in there there isnt' a lot of room. That's an interesting idea bout doing a pop up on yours with a hatch.

    Looks like a good time Duane! What I love about your adventures is you have an area in mind and you look for a good spot, you search high and low for a beautiful nights stay. That rig you are crushing in is epic.. and very inspiring. Loved it, I just worked 12.5 hours at work and this was a wonderful way to end the night. Thanks for sharing your time with all of us Duane.

      That’s the best part, just exploring and wondering what’s around the next corner! The unknown is exciting! The truck and that super pacific really make it nice to head out. Sorry about the long shift and late night. They are really pushing you over there. Hope everything is going well for you!

    Great video! I think your drone went into fail safe! My fail safe is set to climb to 300ft for RTL. 👍

      Oh that makes sense!!! I couldn’t understand why it was freaking out. I need to see if my DJI Refresh is still go to get it fixed.

    Its a shame the tower was closed. I have been there with Bill Walkup of Explorers of the Mojove Desert fame, when it was open, and it does have a wonderful view. Perhaps do a spring/summer visit when it is manned. The lady who was there gave us a tour, and showed us how she uses the equipment.
    The Bald Mountain lookout vista is even more glorious, even without climbing to the top. The Domeland Wilderness, which it overlooks, is just a beautiful sight.

      I was able to do I think the Bald Mountain one - it was manned and got a tour. I have footage from that trip I just haven’t finished the video yet. It was a few weeks before it closed for the season. Sure does seem like more and more things are closing down it’s kind of sad. Thanks for watching the videos @GreenJeepAdventures !

    Would there be any way you could share your GPS coordinates so your viewers like me can try some of these camp site locations you found? 😃

    i looked up the Super Pacific, you got me curious about it. man those things cost MONEY!!! you got yourself a big investment there lol.

    • @dustyroaddestinations
      @dustyroaddestinations  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but it's kind about perspective. Prior to deciding on the Super Pacific I was looking at Four Wheel Campers and Bean teardrop trailers. Both of those started over $20k and quickly ended up between $40k-$70k so I think the "problem point" for me is that the Super Pacific looked "cheap" at that point. There are other solutions like Topo Topper which are well under $10k especially if you don't add "options". I just "needed" a solution that was easier to deploy and drive with compared to the tent. I do hope the gear doesn't dissuade people into pointing their windshield toward the outdoors. Well plus my "plan" was after all the kids were adults and out that I would be able to spend *almost* every weekend outside with the truck! 😀

      @@dustyroaddestinations haha yeah, kinda sounds like my father. He recently bought a small camper trailer because he said he's "too old now to deal with tents" 😂

    • @dustyroaddestinations
      @dustyroaddestinations  ปีที่แล้ว

      🤣 Unfortunately Tyler I think I agree with that comment - I'm also starting to feel like my days are numbered with me being able to keep doing the going out disperse by myself. So I have to get in what I can! What did he end up getting if you don't mind me asking???

      @@tylerdurden7965 hmm, those look pretty nice. If my rent keeps going up I might have to move into a travel trailer full time for a while...
