The part about dressing conservative and modestly is sooo trueee ugh like growing up there was NO reflection of my peoples but I love that now in current times it’s so many up and coming polys who are getting out there for their style and fashion

Omgg chickas 😅 I’m Hawaiian and I can relate to all of y’all. as Polynesians we all hold the same traditions, have similar lifestyles and upbringings in the household and especially having strict parents who hold strong morals for their family. it makes me feel normal again to be able to relate to people with the same background thank you so much👍 I’d love to see more of these podcasts and continue to be beautifully blessed

First off, big ups to the ALL Poly Women podcast 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 2nd, I LOVED hearing about the adoption stories & you guys having the courage to share it especially for those who are not of Polynesian descent or have experience within the Polynesian culture so they can better understand the “why” of the whole situation.
I am the oldest of 6 & before we moved from American Samoa, my parents gave the youngest of us up for adoption to my auntie (dad’s youngest sister) because they couldn’t have anymore kids after their 1. Like sis said, it was hard for me to let my brother go. I use to watch him, feed him, clothe him, etc…& at that time, I didn’t really comprehend the “why” (I use to be so mad at my parents) but after some time & maturing, I get it. Even now after having my own kids, I can only imagine the pain my parents went through at the time but can only pray for the courage & strength they had as well.
Man, I can go on and on about how many positives this podcast is going to have & am so looking forward to hearing more from all of you!!!
