I feel the Australians have a real fondness for the Kuta, Legian area simply because we were among the 1st to be there, especially the surfers and travellers. On the whole, we treated the Balinese and the culture with respect. Unfortunately as it grew more popular it became almost an Australian ghetto with all the downsides of that.
