Hi bro...here we have load balancers, application gateway , traffic managers ....need backend pool(group of vms)........ all the vms have to host same app... .... my question is .....in real time ......which way cloud engineer choose..... either portal or automation methods to create group of vms......another question when we go for VMSS

Automation is preferred now a days. It's always best to use vmss instead of individual vms when you have a scenario like this.
