HUGE twist. Seriously! But I LOVE it. I feel like some people might not like it for that reason, but it’s very unique. I think it works.
The message of this song may not be interpreted without listening to or watching their previous title tracks... Deciphering it would be hard without getting the story line.. 'crown' was the beginning of the chapter where they find something different in them and everybody treating them indifferently and meeting some friends more like them and finally accepting the difference as a crown. The second chapter 'run away' is where they make friendship vows to be with them forever and be supportive and carrying on their journey to see the magic. This chapter means that they are missing their friends in hard times and being supportive. I think that though they are together and playing, they got something painful going on within everyone that they cannot express it openly and wish that they could understand each others' hidden pain and give them support. That's y we can see in some shots that one other members will be like sitting odd and sad, while others play.
Still, there are lot more than this. Their side tracks definitely add up to the storyline and make it much more deep. We can never underestimate bighits' work. They do everything with a reason. So, I request that even if a bright concept comes out, it definitely have a deeper side to it, please don't skip it. Thank you for checking them out💜💜

이사벨라 I know that. I just don’t think it’s very difficult to understand the MV’s story without knowing the storyline. The storyline just adds extra layers to it. Maybe it’s because I watch a lot of thrillers and Dreamcatcher MVs, but the beginning where all the members looked gloomy and the moment the screen went red set off red flags. I had a good feeling the song would have the friends turn against each other and that theory was only proven to be truer and truer when the red food scenes started happening.
Big Hit has a habit of making MVs have a stand-alone story while incorporating their own universe. This chapter of TXT’s storyline was the “fallout”, so BigHit decided to revolve around a specific theme to depict that part of the story. The MV happened to be about toxic friends, but the members chosen to enact specific roles was intentionally done to move the storyline forward.

I was a fan of TXT since their debut and somehow after "Run Away" comeback, I knew they will go from soft to dark side... But I was very shocked after watching the MV... I didn't expect this at all.

this comeback is the last part of their DREAM trilogy that's why we cannot get the gist if we haven't heard their past songs. BIGHIT artists have this storyline and are continuously playing with a range of genres. for TXT, they have their own universe and they use different genres in every album. also TOMORROW X TOGETHER is one of the IT BOYS of the 4th generation kpop ☺️

Theres a reason why they debuted with Crown first. Its actually a metaphor for them like having growing pains as theyre young. The whole journey of txt is intriguing and mind blowing. Theyre very different from other kpop idols too so they arent predictable and clichés.
You'll have to see the concept trailer and the previous MV Run Away to understand their storyline. It's really interesting and is connected to BTS storyline. And I think you'll also like their previous comeback song Run Away along with New Rules and Angle or Devil. These are not super bright songs and Angle or Devil has an MV. These are from their first comeback and this is second.
In my opinion I don't even think it's a "dark era" for them this song is pretty upbeat but I would describe it as sad and twisted with a tad bit of a sinister feel with the effects, red lights, and fires. Not to mention the smothering and the fact that they used red juice to substitute for blood...
But overall it's a bop, its relatable, and the rest of the songs on this album are so good and different. My favorites are PUMA, FAIRY OF SHAMPOO, and DRAMA.
Eternal sounds like a 2 in 1 song it give us feels then it does a whole 180, in my opinion its slightly similar to Can't you see me.
every song on txt albums is different...they dont have bright concept, you shoudnt put them in the box...maybe check really their music

Yeonjun said he talked with Bang Sihyuk (ceo) about how he felt when he changed schools and he was left alone, without friends. And Bang Sihyuk asked him to elaborate his feelings so they could turn them into a song (this one). This song and mv also were made to fit into the TXT Universe, so i'm pretty sure this whole thing is trying to show a very smooth and discreet transition, from a group of friends having fun like normal with small glitches of them looking serious and sad, to making those glitches last longer and be more frequent, to those bad things and feelings completely taking over the entire picture (the house on fire, everything stained in red, them looking guilty when they realize their hands are red, the serious and angry faces when throwing the tomatoes at each other, the games they were playing turning into something none of them are enjoying, then looking at the camera like they were caught doing something bad, etc)

So i saw they released an article where txt explained the concept of the song and album and this was mentioned in it, but by yeonjun instead of soobin. this song in summary, actually tells about their friendship being broken from the "crown" era. from what I interpreted, there's likely a betrayal between them and that makes the friendship is broken, which also started the beef between them.

Txt is a young group so normally their debut was playful, they were just children how can you judge the concept of their debut like this they are not like the other rookie groups they are not showing their abs etc. They are making consept that suits their age. I think this is admirable

It's actually more bright and playful in a sinister and foreboding way. I feel like it's the start of a movie where all these bad things are happening without explanation and you think it's the worst that could be until something evil is revealed. It's very exciting and intriguing to see where the story is going.
TXT has one of the best production in the game, it's so fresh yet so catchy. They surprise me always but they still have a signature sound which includes adding guitar riffs and high vocals in the chorus. They've gradually progressed to a darker sound but I loved it all. You should react to run away, you'd love it.
Had no idea the song was gonna be like this and I was so blown away. Even the teaser videos didn't sound like the MV. So proud of TXT and how much they've grown.

Notice how the first chorus scene of the song shows them wearing nude colors meaning pretty normal friendship and the background of the house was normal. But if you then look at the second chorus, youll see that theyre now wearing black clothes,having kind of blood symbol and the house was burning so it kinda resembles the reality of having friendship and sometimes the difficulty of choosing who to trust in life specifically how to really grow and improve friendship

Wow, you've been missing out a lot on TXT since their debut. Yes, it's a gradual progression to dark concept, but if you look closely at their lyrics even in their "bright, cute" Crown mv debut, they've always been dark. They have a storyline and universe for theorists (watch "Nap of A Star" music video - kinda creepy). They've only had one comeback prior to this, The Dream Chapter: Magic. I recommend their "Run Away" music video and songs like "New Rules", "Angel or Devil", and "20cm". For their new Eternity album, I recommend "Puma" and "Eternally" for a sick twist. Or if you like retro, there's "Fairy of Shampoo" and "20cm" r&b. Their b-sides are sometimes better than their title tracks. TXT never fails to surprise us and they're unpredictable, but it's always amazing quality.

*You'll definitely need to react to TXT's new music video that dropped today, please!* It's their B-side track "Puma" or "동물원을 빠져나온 퓨마" from the Eternity album. It's more darker than "Can't You See Me?". It's based on a real life event a couple years ago in a South Korean zoo where a black puma escaped from its unlocked cage. It was the first time it experienced freedom but only for a short time. Unfortunately, it was gunned down and shot by police. The puma never hurt anybody and it's unnecessary death sparked outrage. Also, some think the MV feels relatable to the current events in the world now with #blacklivesmatter.

The live performance for this song made me love it more. They’ve improved in their confidence and charisma on stage! So proud. Such a quick improve,met in just one year. Of course they’re talented in singing and dancing but their ability to work the stage this time around is amazing!
