A group of 10 head into the Helderberg Nature Reserve to get to know what the area is like. We get more than we bargained for and plans have to change to keep the group safe!
So glad I got to see this. I've been homesick, but am hoping I'll be back on the Helderberg by the end of the year. This has reminded me to take those plans very seriously ;-)
Luckily the ranger was able to convince me and it didn’t take much! Just the road up was very slippery after all the rain. Happy to try again when it’s not so sketchy! I will say that I will not go up again in winter or after rain!

that path is indeed VERY slippery .. clay combined with moss ..
