Good Day Sis, I recently paid off my mortgage and am waiting for the lender to send me the documents. When this is done do I need to do anything? Can you make a vlog about my questions? What steps did you take regarding your home mortgage after you we're paid off? What happens when you pay off your mortgage? Have you obtained a discharge certificate from your mortgage company for your records? Did you ask for a discharge letter from the lender or get a letter of release from the bank stating that your mortgage has been paid in full? I hope you can answer my questions. Wow congrats! Nung na pay off namin mortgage namin, wala po certificate, pero yung lender namin nagpadala ng annual mortgage statement. Nakalagay don balance remaining $0 tapos kung magkano yung principal and interest paid. Tawagan nyo para hingin nyo yung final statement. Try nyo din sa online banking nyo, baka nandon sa message nyo yung final statement, baka kasi paperless yung sa inyo kaya wala kayong letter.
Hello sis Mae. Sa totoo lang hindi ko masasagot yung tanong mo kasi iba ang process nung sa amin. Hindi po kami nanghiram sa banko . At nakuha din po namin agad yung kopya ng Title nitong bahay 3 months after ma built. And pumirma lang po kami sa lawyer sila na po ang maglakad ng lahat ng papers nitong bahay. Ayoko naman po magbigay ng wrong info. I would take yung suggestion ni @6ix_strings na mas maigi po cguro kung tatawag kayo sa mismong lender nyo para ma guide po kayo sa mga tamang proseso. @@6ix_Strings Thanks for your reply but speaking of the mortgage statement you mentioned, I receive it every year and all these mortgage statements are kept in my files for records purposes. This is different from my questions because when the bank does not issue for release, the title remains with the lender and nothing changes. I need a letter or certificate from the lender to confirm that they will transfer the title under my name. This transfer of title from the lender (bank) to my name is necessary to register it in the land registry which is no longer in the name of the Lender (bank). If you did not do this with your paid off mortgage you should do so, so that the title is now in your name. Good Luck!
Tama po! Nasa 1% ang tax dito sa Edmonton. Kaya mas ok na sa suburban area kami nakakuha ng isang bahay namin medyo maliit ng bahagya ang property tax kesa sa mismong city. No wonder my previous boss told me when Filipino set foot on US/Canada they think they are a higher form of human being and always brag about their accomplishment

If you did not do this with your paid off mortgage you should do so, so that the title is now in your name. Good Luck!
