  • On the 75th Anniversary of the signing of the European Recovery Act on April 3, 1948, Truman Library Education Director Mark Adams presents a public program exploring the Marshall Plan. "The Marshall Plan" was the name given to the massive aid package that the United States provided to rebuild and feed war-torn Europe, both the allies and former enemies. Mark explores museum objects and archival materials housed at the Truman Library to tell the story. The policy of assisting Europe in recovery had deep implications both in the immediate post World War II era, and in many of today's policies.
The program was hosted by the Truman Library Institute's Morgan Jorgensen, April 3, 2023.
