  • Bucerias is such a beautiful beach town in Mexico. Close to the Puerto Vallarta airport, quieter than Sayulita, better beaches than most places in the Riviera Nayarit, here's what you can expect when visiting in 2024!

    After watching more of your videos, Bucerias also looks very appealing. We are planning a trip to Mexico in November. Can you recommend some places to stay in Bucerias on or near the beach. We are most interested in beautiful beaches with good swimming and restaurants and shops within walking distance. Thank you.

    Nice one, Laura.
    I was in Bucerias early January - just for 2 days to check it out.
    The loooooong beach (can't possibly walk all along), chill vibes, good value Airbnb with super friendly host, meeting nice people in general, and easy access from PV are good memories for me too.

    Bucerias is a beautiful town. We have visited Nuevo Nayarit now 9 times since we own a time share at Villa del Palmar Flamingos. We always spend 7 nights and 4 nights are spent eating in Bucerias since it is only a mile walk from our resort. San Pancho is another great place to spend a day or night.

    Looks amazing. I've been all over Mexico, but not in that part yet. It's next up on my list now! Do you know how easy it is to get from Bucerias to Vallarta and Sayulita by bus ( as I don't drive)?

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You can take the bus from outside the airport - it's not super frequent but you will see the name of towns like Sayulita, Bucerias, San Pancho written on the window of the bus. Alternatively, you can take an Uber (again you have to leave the airport parking lot and grab it from the bus stop, but it's a 5-minute walk from arrivals). Uber costs about $25-30 USD to get to Bucerias and then once you're there you can use the buses to get between the other towns a bit easier.

    Hi Laura and thanks for your video on "Exploring Bucerias Mexico in 2024"
    Enjoyed the content and also the quality of the video. Good editing, good choices of background, the length of shots displayed to help demonstrate what you were talking about. Nice use of natural light, too.
    You made a point about the busy road bisecting the city. The comment you made about "situating myself to get in and out more easily" ... did you mean you would find accommodations on the beach side of the road?

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would probably stay further north in bucerias, either side of the road, but just away from the center of all of that terrible traffic on the 200.

    Hi, I'm new to your channel and planning a trip to PV. I was thinking in staying in playa Gemelas however after watching this video, Would you recommend Bucerias instead?

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love them both. The nice thing about Bucerias compared to Gemelas is that you have lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Gemelas is lovely and quiet and the condos there are great for self catering and the beach itself is amazing, but there is only one restaurant and a few beach vendors and at night there is nothing, you have to take the bus or a taxi into PV to eat. If you want to mostly self cater Gemelas is great, but if you want beach and restaurants, I think Bucerias is the better option.

  • @trudyzire
    @trudyzire 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How do you get there? Do you have to rent a car in PV?

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's the best way to get there and then still have some freedom to explore other parts of the Nayarit Coast. If you just want to stay in Bucerias for the whole trip, you can take an Uber/taxi or take the bus from the airport.

  • @stacykosluchar8446

    Hi Laura. Been watching you for years- I love your videos. Do you have a preferred rental car agency in Riviera Nayarit area?

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I always rent from the airport because it's the cheapest and most convenient option. We usually use Mex Rent a Car because they are the cheapest and service is decent enough, especially when you need to call them for any reason, their customer support is excellent. There are no surprise costs when you arrive as long as you book directly with them on their website. I've also heard Gecko is a great company, but I haven't personally used them because they are always booked out by the time I get around to planning my trips 😅

    Bucerias isn't too impressive, because it's a bit unkept and chopped up - a messy town, so I prefer other areas, but the beach is broad and uncluttered - I went swimming there once and no one was on the beach.

      Anyone reading this who wants to come stay there we have a place at life condos on the 5th floor with a stellar view of the bay and the Sierra Madres one block from the ocean .
      Much more of a community feel here with horses giving rides on the beach freely and of course beautiful people.
      You can comment on this thread as I have photos!
