@@donnavorce8856Still look it up, but from what I understand. It's still just the basics. Buying low, selling high.
So you buy up a stock. Make it look hot. Which causes a buying frenzy. When you think it has reached a high point. You dump all your stock back on the market and take the money. This can cause a sell off. The opposite of buying frenzy. The company is left paying the difference in the lose at the end of the day. If they can't, they go bankrupt and try again later.

How can a company that loses money even continue? It shouldn't be allowed.
There are a lot of high priced stocks where the business itself is losing money. Interest rates are just so artificially low that there is more new money coming in to pay to keep it going and debts are being wiped out by under reported inflation.

In the private market there are rules, you can't just claim a company is worth tons of money. Is that not also true for public companies?
