If the server is empty then yes this is duable. I played today and this beach was so full with people that you can barely find a normal crab or a shell. Everything else was constantly collect.
ah. i got into the closed beta and wasnt aware this was a secret, ive been doing it for a while. it works well, also make sure to double check for more shells/oysters, i would go back same day and find loads more
The REAL way they don't want you to make money is Tomato Seeds. Get yourself established with like some ingredients then just garden TOMATOES and turn the High Quality ones into seeds. And put your unstarred tomatoes into a worm farm and sell the poops. Vampire Crabs are good for farming silk :3 the money is a by product. tbh I was one of the people in Pre Alpha that recommended we make seeds worth something :3 If you get to level 8 furniture making then the silk from those crabs will be worth A LOT with the Silk Recipe.
you just need two tomatoes to make two seeds and you get multiple harvests from ONE tomato seed. It's not that much at all :) You need level 2 farming to get a seed maker and that's early game. by the time you get to level 2 and you've saved all your tomatoes you will have more than 30 which is the cap. It will be a profit before you even start making seeds.@@KD_Gentlemen Bonus Tip if you can afford to place a wheat in the centre then you get an increased chance for high quality tomatoes. If you're really hurting for cash, don't harvest the crop it will still give the bonus. (but one chappa tail will buy you 2 wheat seeds)
3 in the morning would be 3:00 AM. I'll try the crab part out! I've honestly been gaining the most profit from quality crops so far. You're only limited by the size of your field and number of seed makers.
in a single day? hunting takes the prize, followed by fishing but you need glow worms for that to be profitable (best profit), followed by gardening (my farm in 24 hrs IRL makes around 40-50k+), note, that my farm is focused on making $, so i have a lot of seed makers and preserve jars to process all my crops.

I played the open beta yesterday and the game is really, really very boring. I won't be playing it myself when it goes live. The game offers nothing new, compared to the millions of farming games already out there. Play StarDew Valley if you are that starved for a farming sim.

Have found the maximum number of crop fields you can have it 9 but if you fill it with seeds, that's still a profitable harvest.

Note as of patch 0.166 the nerf the spawn rate of coral. It's in the pin comments. It might not be as effective as it once was.
