In 1993, Radheshyam Nag, commonly known as Radhe, started selling different items like Dahibara, Kanjibara, Dahibundi, Aloodam, Raagchana (Ghughuni), Pakoda and other edibles from a four-wheeled 5x3 thela (trolley). Everyday, he parked his stall near the Nrusingha Guru Town High School of Sambalpur in Odisha. Gradually his food items became popular due to their unique tastes and quality. What became an instant hit among the customers was a mixture of all items. It came to be known as 'Radhe Chaat'. Since then, Radhe Chaat has become a sort of brand in Sambalpur. The additional attraction to Radhe's food stall is the use of fresh green leaf plates in which the chaat and other items are served. Radhe opens his stall at around 8 am and all the food stuffs are sold out in the next five hours. He and his six other family members wake up very early in the morning and get engaged in preparing the food stuffs.
