Tsu Surf spoke to VladTV about chosing to do a couple of battles a year because he feels like doing several battles a year lessens the quality of each battle. He went on to speak about his mixtapes and other ventures allowing him to not do as many battles, and why he's not a fan of winners being chosen by vote in battles.

I get what your saying and I spent yrs in the same law libraries and bullpens he learned in and educated myself heavily too but the reality is if we never wouldve chose the streets we couldve spent that energy and time educating ourselves in so many other more positive and lucrative subjects. I salute him for getting out of the streets and educating ppl now but I cant help but feel the pain he feels of having that knowledge. Because I know the pain he went thru to gain it.

The only time you get a good Public Defender is if you are lucky enough to get one that is trying to get they own law firm. Those are the ones tryin to get you off. The fact that you have a paid attorney also dont guarantee he isn't trying to sell you out. It all depends. But you do have a better chance getting a paid lawyer. N if you are lookin for a lawyer ask him or her how they feel about you're case. And if they say we gonna win I guarantee or something like that. Do not hire them. The best lawyer wont say that to you. They will always say shit like it looks good or I give it a 80 percent chance or something along those lines. Cause they know court is like heavy weight boxing. Anything can happen.

His break down as to why the battles arent judged make 100% sense. I always thought it was dumb to not judge the battles and a clear winner but I never thought of it this way. Thats a great marketing strategy

I was facing 5-6 charges when I went to jail. I didn’t even get a pretrial interview before seeing the magistration so bond wasn’t even an option. THEN they assigned me a court appointed attorney and got my ass sent off to county jail. The second that I got a paid attorney, I was out the same day
