It’s crazy that you uploaded this today. I’m going through this exact book right now to re-learn math on my own and I’m about halfway through and it’s taking me so long to go through all the material. It’s so refreshing to hear you say that this covers more than two classes combined because I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed. I have a bachelors degree and I’ve taken algebra and trigonometry many times and I feel like this book is stretching me a bit.
I really like that book. My instructor wanted to throw it out the window, because the answers were often wrong. But I figured that,if I was thinking about math, it's good. This book has a lot of vignettes about mathematicians from the past, and I really liked that.
Mines the 3rd edition. I don't know if its okay to say how much I paid, but I can count on one hand what I paid for my copy of Stewarts Precalculus. Get books & get videos to watch as you work though the books. I think calculus will start to open up more the more algebra and trigonometry someone learns. I mean, calculus won't be a big mystery if someone learns enough algebra & trigonometry. I'm probably close to being average in Calculus 1 if I took a online calculus 1 class. Soon I will be taking online math classes
Please do a series (if you haven't already) with your guidance on your inspirations for kids mathematics books for parents to learn along with their child-ren. I have been sharing your video;s with my wife and we are trying to make math a regular consumption of interest for all in our home. Your guidance I believe is invaluable my children are in primary school however we endeavor to create future Math Bugs..🎯💯💥
Thanks Math Sorcerer - I also think a video on "mathematics applied" as it relates to certain "jobs/careers/experts" would be great to show all that math is not a boring pastime. It has dynamic applications with Military occupations all branches (USMC❤) Civilian Occupations and maybe even short interviews with regular people working in the fields ( No apologies for suggesting work for you, your content is Amazing to me)
I have this exact same book, bought it for $35 recently and even though it’s a used copy, mine’s intact… only thing is that the first page is a bit stained, great book, have been using it for a couple of weeks
An EXCELLENT book! It covers a lot of interesting topics with lots of motivating applications and historical notes. One of the best investments I've made.
Hi Maths Sorcerer, I love all your videos specially the ones about self learning, since most of us dont have the chance to study full time, I loved the one with all the books on "Data Science" but it would be nice if you did a video on the books covered in Artificial Intelligence, which is what I'm interested in, and the difference the two since theres seems to be a confusion with some people with these two, keep up the good work, cheers from Sydney.
Hey Math Sorcerer, I’m really struggling in my college PreCalculus class. I’ve started doing some catching up and studying, currently using the 7th edition of this book. Any advice?
Should I buy this or algebra and trigonometry by same author?Which is better for self-study? After finishing Pre-calculus,I'll learn through Stewart Calculus.
Thanks for the review. the adult precalc course I've just completed felt like we rushed through. My library has this book so I will give the exercises a try. Update: the book arrived today and is excellent. The explanations and examples are so well written. It covers everything in my pre calc course and more. It is leagues ahead of the material I was given. Thanks
Perfect video for the perfect time. I'm heading back to school and am paranoid about what to review. I don't want to miss anything and I'm overwhelmed because while I took pre-calculus years ago, I still have my text book but feel like I'll miss something in the lower levels that might serve me in Calculus. This has kept me from starting. I will do a 1-3 day review of basic algebra and jump into pre-Calc. I thought I'd miss out on some needed knowledge, this video got rid of those fears. Thanks. Side not: Math Sorcerer? Is that a D&D reference? If so, you can call me the Math Monk. I created a character named Kal who is from the Culus monastery.... Get it? Kal...Culus? Thanks! I'm here all week! Be sure to tip your waitress.
Hi, it has been a couple of years now that I have not attempted nor pursue maths in the way I once have. However, I've made up my mind and decided to start from scratch, literally. I would like to start algebra, I saw many of your videos on beginners for algebra but I'm not quite sure which book to purchase, can you help me ?
Hello Math Sorcerer! I love your videos and I love your spanish channel (I'm from Mexico), I was curious if you have read the Algebra book by Aurelio Baldor, I want to know your opinion on it Good video have a nice day!
Hi Math Sorcerer , I am a subscriber to your channel for sometime now and have always find the videos' content interesting and inspiring. I have recently enrolled at my local university reading for an Associate Degree in Math. Do you have any course on Analytic Geometry and Trigonometry? This is one of the three math based courses I have to do, the others are Algebra 1 and an Introductory Statistics course. I am having some difficulty with the Analytic Geometry and Trigs. course since I have missed three sessions of the course from the beginning of the class. Hence, my asking. My course outline has prescribed a textbook :Analytic Geometry by Gordon Fuller. Do you have it? Now , I would like your help here as to selecting an excellent graphing calculator. What brand and model is better? Thanks in advance.
Why do all coordinate books rush through line and try to reach circle asap? Line is where the fundamental idea of coord forms. I noticed the same thing when looking for a good geometry book. They all skip triangle and try to reach circle asap. Thankfully, we have Euclid. So, the lack of a good geometry book never became an issue to me.

How long do you study it everyday for it? I feel like I have to study 4 hours to get though one section
@@youngboy5285i feel like this takes me 6 to 8 hours to thoroughly cover a section
I used it to prepare for Thomas's Calculus course. Awesome book.
Please make a series on this book.. You have a way of delivering things that other TH-camrs don’t.
I actually got this book after you've mentioned it in the "One Math Book For Every Math Subject" video. It's REALLY good!
I really like that book. My instructor wanted to throw it out the window, because the answers were often wrong. But I figured that,if I was thinking about math, it's good. This book has a lot of vignettes about mathematicians from the past, and I really liked that.
Do newer editions also have mistakes? I'm planning on buying the book soon.
I purchased this book for 35$ (it was on sale), needless to say best investment thus far

Hay un libro muy bueno Mathematics for freshman. El mejor que he visto para aprender matemáticas para universidad.
I bought his 7th edition Pre Calculus book based on your videos
I enjoy your book reviews. this seems like the book I was looking for, thanks

I think the best precalculus books are Axler, Cohen, Stewart, Simmons and Lang. The closer to the math majors, the better.
we need a video about Sullivan Precalculus
he made one
“It’s a wonderful book”
And,.. every time you work a difficult problem, an angel gets his/her wings!

Do you know anything about sheldon axler's pre calculus book?
I’ve got the 6th edition plus the DVDs.
Good for you) Hopefully, I'll get it some day

How can we understand math in words do you have any recommendations in terms of resources and books
Many solution manuals and study guides are available for this Stewart PreCalculus book.

Damn this was like my Alg2 class for highschool. My Precalculus class has us starting in September with limits

Intense book! Love the excercises:)
@@TheMathSorcerer Super awesome book! I remember learning from it in high school, it helped me so much
I bought the exact same book hard copy
I’m currently going through the Pre-algebra by Holt NLK will I be able to jump to this after or do I need an intermediary?
thank you

hello professor, can you please recommend some good books for regression
i have a 6th edition in pdf, i agree with your video
How much time do you think it would need to complete this book ?
It took me roughly 3 months to finish, that is since i read it once a day for 30 mins
Video on your book collection update please
I’ve ordered their Algebra and Trigonometry 4th edition and it should be here by Sunday, I feel jittery
