Beauty absolute beauty. I'm orthodox Christian but we share the same god and Jesus Christ right? This makes me so emotional. All the years I lost from being unfaithful. I thought religion was darkness. But religion is light and if united religion makes us literally stronger. It's a beautiful spectacular event. As an American, any sort of celebration on this scale always blows my mind, Europe has so much cool stuff going on and we just don't learn about any of it over here, it's a shame
I'm not even christian, but I kind of want to visit, seeing something like this in person must be quite the experience
You are welcome, I hope you like it if one day you visit here. My personal recommendation is that you look to see the Holy Week that is celebrated in Seville, or in Córdoba or Malaga or Zamora, each city has its differences but those are my favorites.

Even though my family has been Roman Catholic for 450 + years, I still did not believe. I needed scientific proof that what I am expected to do, you know, going thru the religious motions was for for someone real. So I did some research on my own. I was blown away by what I found. Mind you, the following has been researched by atheist cardiologists/ NASA scientists/ Jewish (and therefore automatically against Christianity as Jews dont believe that Jesus is their saviour) photographer who was part of the original research team and others over the years. There r other videos that show that the pathological labs were sent the blood specimens of Jesus annonymously so that there is no bias. They found white blood cells. These dont survive outside a body for more than mere minutes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Go thru this. I share it with love.
1. Visit the Joy of the Faith channel and watch the never b4 shown on utube in depth research and provided scientific EVIDENCE of the Eucharistic miracles where he speaks to the doctors who can be taken to court if their info is false. Legal doctors or something they r called. The hosts show the same AB blood type spanning centuries apart, even at the time when blood types were unknown. White blood cells dont survive outside a human body. They do here in these cases. Etc etc. There is a ton there. Go watch.

2. Evidence of resurrection.
His video and other videos on the scientific evidence of the Shroud of Turin. Before it landed in the catholic church it was in the Orthodox church. Scientists have tried to replicate the image ( to no avail) which exists on ONE SIDE OF EACH THREAD. Currently the tech does not exist to amass that level of energy needed to tranfer an image onto a cloth while still keeping it intact. There is a ton of other evidence incl the same blood type.

7. Read the online archives of the Portuguese papers written by atheist journalists who had attended the events at Fatima to mock it.
8. Our Lady of Zeitun, Egypt.
9. St. Charbel, the Lebanese saint revered by Muslims. Images and body exude oil and fragrance.

You don't actually have to be religious to join Semana Santa or the brotherhoods. I know of people who are not religious at all but do join it because of the beauty of this tradition. I believe in the last decades it has surpassed its religious theme.
@@user-iv8dj4hw1b I am a recovering Catholic but there are cultural aspects that I miss. Spain’s Semana Santa is the best in the world, bar none.
I wasn’t aware that one doesn’t have to be a practicing Catholic in order to be a part an Hermandad. I’m going to assume that there is a long waiting list in order to join any of the Hermandades. One of these days, I’ll go to Spain again.
Because of spain, we also have that culture here in the philippines.... #catholic
300 years of Spanish rule inculcated deep religiosity in the Philippines. They always have grand processions every Fiesta and Semana Santa. The Sto Niño, Nazareno, and Sto Rosario La Naval de Manila festivities are good examples. Viva la Madre España!

A few years ago I was lucky enough to witnessed the Semana Santa in Málaga, and my jaw droped seeing the grandness of the thrones. It was something i will never forget.

Find a good, holy, European spouse and move to Europe and raise your children in this environment if you dont want them to be spiritually lost forever. Its what I'm doing. I would not be happy in heaven for eternity if my child does not make it there one day to be with me. My husband and I are sacrificing living together because he works in the middle east. Not a place with a good Catholic church life n healthy community life. Proverbs 22:6 says, Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Find a traditional, Catholic society to live in for the sake of your descendants. They are our treasures. Think about it.

Soy de Málaga, la ciudad de donde son la mayoría de las imágenes. Has plasmado al 100% lo que se siente. No es solo devoción, también es tradición. Lamentablemente no se pueden plasmar los olores de la Semana Santa en un vídeo, sin duda son de las cosas más especiales de ella. Enhorabuena por tu trabajo.

La tradición y cultura de Andalucía como bien dice hoy es algo universalmente conocido. Y todo gracias a que los andaluces ponen pasión en todo lo que hacen. En todos los ámbitos. Por ejemplo Andalucía con menos población gana más dinero que Suecia. Lástima que los andaluces después voten Madrid en lugar de Andalucía y todo su dinero acabe siendo gastado por otros. Y eso es otra característica andaluza, ser demasiado confiados con los de fuera.

It is a long tradition , you can live It religiously or in my case, i see the religious root but i am not believer, so It is a cultural event. The thing is we have the same procession "Semana Santa" in Larantuka. Google it: Semana Santa Larantuka, East Flores. And we believe that this ritual originally comes from Spain when Spanish/Portuguese were coming to our land a long time ago.

No soy creyente ni mucho menos devota, pero al haber crecido en Málaga con la tradición de ver la Semana Santa todos los años bajando al centro hace que la sientas igual, como una cultura social digamos, aunque no seas devoto la disfrutas igualmente. He tenido los pelos como escarpias durante todo el vídeo, has sabido plasmar perfectamente el sentimiento de la Semana Santa y hace que, ahora con la situación actual que llevamos 2 años sin ella, se eche mucho de menos.
