The zone run I would say is one of the best innovations to come out of the Bill Walsh tree through the Shanahan branch A subset of west coast offense that has reached so many teams
That 2012 skins offensive coaching staff is crazy Mike Shanahan as the Coach Kyle Shanahan as the OC Matt LaFleur QB coach Sean McVay TE coach Mike McDaniel offensive assistant
Absolutely love this video, really does a good job of explaining the scheme and what they are trying to accomplish with all the motion and on top of that, showing how they use it to set up te play action as well as how Kyle evolved in order to keep things fresh and unpredictable was really fun to watch
Let's show more schemes and design calls in the NFL that are Innovative and give credit to those that came up with them both on the offense and defensive side of the ball
Crazy how Russell had a higher passer rating the same year as Rg3 but lost out on rookie of the year. Shows how he hasnt been given credit his whole career
It's is knee injury scheme that makes the dl fear getting cut .thats what is actually being attacked. Those Denver plays almost caused the nfl to make the cuts illegal .
@@bigkfromtx9526 tight end box rule changed what I was talking about here a few years ago . Run zone blocks back in the day Mike called was double teams one hi one low and would take a leg out. Nfl stopped that a long time ago but here recently stopped allowing the pass blocker to throw low cut blocks on edges which made then hesitate. Now they're sprinting full speed to flush the pocket to try handicap pocket passers to help mobility more. Which has lead to smaller qb like tua,Bryce, Purdy and will continue to do so
Its been a good 3 rule changes since Mike Shanahans days. Kyle and many others still run a similar version but mixed with 1960s pistol & rpo. Touch of arena footballs shifting now lol
It's ironic because he lost to the Pats because he stopped utilizing Matt Ryan and his terrific WRs, and now he lost to the Chiefs because he stopped using the 49ers' fantastic running game.

A pretty solid 5 mins - let's have more of these.
That 2012 skins offensive coaching staff is crazy
Mike Shanahan as the Coach
Kyle Shanahan as the OC
Matt LaFleur QB coach
Sean McVay TE coach
Mike McDaniel offensive assistant
Literally the 2016 Falcons with exception of one person

McVay and the elder Shanahan weren’t there

Great video guys I’d love to see more content like this!
No mention of Gary Kubiak?
If it was a ten minute video, I'm sure.
Running coach Bobby turner been with the shanahans since the 90s
Mike Shanahan was a genius Greta great coach
And Elway choose Vance Joseph!
Great video
God I love this
I don’t see enough people comparing what Shannon Sharpe brought to Zone Blocking compared to what George Kittle brings to Zone Blocking
Nice!

He also had a great defense that year.
All about draft position that was
Shanahan still has Falcons Super Bowl PTSD

If we get to see Trey Lance in a fully developed, healthy 49ers team, oh boy the league is in trouble.
*Queue footage of Bengals defenders falling all over themselves and saying it's due to the 49ers scheme and not horrible tackling*
To bad he didn’t use those runs in 4th qtr.

Someone show Jimmy this is how you not over throw wide open receivers. 3:51
