      There are two ways to obtain a FE exam waiver in New York:
      If you are a graduate of an accredited engineering program in New York, you are automatically eligible to take the FE exam without having to obtain a waiver.
      If you are not a graduate of an accredited engineering program in New York, you may be eligible for a waiver if you have at least 4 years of full-time engineering experience in New York.
      To apply for a FE exam waiver, you must submit a completed application form to the New York State Board of Engineering, Land Surveying and Geology (NYS Board). The application form is available on the NYS Board website.
      The application form must be accompanied by the following documentation:
      *A copy of your college transcripts
      *A copy of your engineering degree
      *A letter from your employer verifying your engineering experience
      *The NYS Board will review your application and make a decision on whether to grant you a waiver. The decision will be based on your academic qualifications and your engineering experience.
      If you are granted a FE exam waiver, you will be eligible to take the FE exam without having to pay the application fee.
      Here are the specific requirements for the FE exam waiver in New York:
      *You must be a graduate of an accredited engineering program in New York or have at least 4 years of full-time engineering experience in New York.
      *Your engineering degree must be from a program that is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
      *Your engineering experience must be in a field that is related to the discipline that you are applying to take the FE exam for.
      *If you are not sure if you are eligible for a FE exam waiver, you should contact the NYS Board for more information.
      I hope this helps!

    What are the requirements for GA? I have a degree from an accredited university, and have approx. 9.5 years of work experience (all under PE's). Thanks!

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  ปีที่แล้ว

      The requirements for taking the FE Exam in Georgia are as follows:
      *You must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
      *You must have at least four years of engineering experience under a licensed professional engineer (PE).
      *You have both of these requirements met, so you are eligible to take the FE Exam in Georgia.
      To register for the FE Exam, you will need to create an account on the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) website. Once you have created an account, you will be able to register for the exam and select a testing center.

    What are the requirements to waive FE in Texas? I have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited university. I have 6 years of work experience working under a PE.

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @syedvaleed6222
      To waive the FE exam in Texas, you must meet the following requirements:
      **Have an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
      **Have at least 8 years of creditable engineering experience.
      **Submit a standard application, application fee, letter requesting the waiver, ethics exam, transcripts, and supplemental experience record (SER).
      **Have five references from licensed professional engineers supporting the SER.
      Since you have an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university and 6 years of work experience working under a PE, you meet the first two requirements. You will also need to submit the following documentation:
      **Supplemental Experience Record (SER): This document should list your engineering experience in chronological order, starting with your most recent job. For each job, you should include the following information:
      Name and address of the employer
      Your job title and duties
      The name and contact information of your supervisor
      A description of your engineering work, including the types of projects you worked on and the level of responsibility you had
      Five references from licensed professional engineers: These references should be able to attest to your engineering experience and qualifications.
      Once you have assembled all of the required documentation, you can submit your waiver application to the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
      You may also want to have a licensed professional engineer review your SER before you submit it. If your waiver application is approved, you will be able to skip the FE exam and take the PE exam directly. I hope this helps!

    In texas, where can I get the waiver forms and forms needed for references to fill out?

      @SpartanRG
      The Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE) doesn't offer separate waiver forms for the FE Exam. Instead, the waiver request is included within the regular application for licensure. Here's what you need to know:
      Waiver Information:
      Requesting a waiver: You can request a waiver for both the FE and Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exams when submitting your licensure application. However, it's not guaranteed, and the board makes decisions based on specific criteria.
      Eligibility: Refer to Section 133.69 of the Texas Administrative Code for detailed requirements. Briefly, you might be eligible if you have:
      Significant engineering experience (minimum 8 years for FE waiver): Documentation and references are crucial.
      Specific academic achievements: Accredited engineering degrees or related qualifications might help.
      Other relevant experience: Professional certifications or significant contributions to the engineering field could be considered.
      Forms and Resources:
      Application and Instructions: Download the "Application for Licensure by Endorsement as a Professional Engineer" form from the TBPE website: pels.texas.gov/
      Waiver Information: See Section 133.69 of the Texas Administrative Code: casetext.com/statute/texas-codes/business-and-commerce-code/title-1-uniform-commercial-code/chapter-3-negotiable-instruments/subchapter-d-liability-of-parties/section-3407-alteration
      Reference Forms: There are no separate reference forms. The application includes sections for your references to provide their details and assessments of your experience and qualifications.
      Additional Tips:
      Contact the TBPE for specific guidance and clarifications about your situation: pels.texas.gov/contact.htm
      Consider consulting with an engineering licensure consultant or experienced engineer for personalized advice and assistance with the application process.
      Remember, meeting the minimum requirements doesn't guarantee a waiver. The board thoroughly evaluates each application and considers various factors before making a decision. So, present your experience and qualifications comprehensively and ensure your references speak to your abilities effectively.

      Yes, you can take the FE waiver exam even if you're not a citizen of the US. As for the PE exam, you can take it outside of the US and request a waiver with the Texas board. Good luck with your exams!

    Hi , i have 23 years of interenational experience as a civil engineer , my certificates are accredited by WES., i came recently to usa , texas .
    Can i waiver the FE and PE tests ?

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sam-k3191 There might be a chance to waive the FE exam in Texas based on your experience! The Texas Board of Professional Engineers allows qualified individuals to petition for a waiver under specific conditions [Texas Engineering Practice Act].
      Here's what you can do:
      **Check the Texas Board of Professional Engineers website for the latest information on exam waivers, specifically section 133.69, Waiver of Examinations [Texas Engineering Practice Act]. This will give you the most up-to-date details on requirements.
      **Contact the Texas Board of Professional Engineers directly. They can answer your questions about applying for a waiver based on your experience and qualifications.
      Here's some general information to consider:
      **While WEBaccredited credentials can help, the key factor is demonstrating your experience constitutes engineering work. This might involve detailed descriptions of your projects, supervisor statements, and working alongside licensed PEs.
      **Waiver requirements can change, so contacting the Board is the best way to get the most accurate information.
      Even if you qualify for a FE waiver, the PE exam waiver might be more challenging. However, it's not impossible, especially with a Ph.D. and relevant experience in academia.

      @@PasstheFEExam Thankyou , no PHD or Master . I called them and checked their requirements . It does not make sense to me that the board of engineers in tx do not accept WES accredation while most universities in tx accept WES accredation.
      It also does not make sense to me that the organisations they accept for accredation are not valid for all states , and orgs requurements are different from each others and some of them go deep to the point that they need not only the certificates and courses you took at uni , but a syllibus and a detailed description of whats inside each course .
      The whole FE and PE tests scenario does not also make sense to me , it is a waste of time because you need years to prepare for them, anybody can memorise these books and procedures and pass these exams .
      I have intreviewd many engineers in my life and approved them for specific or specialised positions in civil projects. You can sit 10 minutes with an engineer, ask him a few questions , and you will know if he undrrstands all the aspects and precautions or not , you will know from his answers what level of experience he has and how deep his knowledge is , indirectly from his answers .
      In addition , courses taken after graduation , during career, i guess these are not considered as well when taken in other countries outside USA , which is an other complication .
      Anyway , i am still considering which org i use to again accredit my bechelor degree in tx , because if i move to an other state , this accredation won't be valid .

      @@PasstheFEExam They are bullshitting with stupid and contradicted requirements .
      Examples :
      Texas universities accept WES accreditation of foreign degrees while engineering boards do not .
      They deal with some orgs and llcs regarding accreditation of foreign degrees . One is the ncees , and ncees wrote on their websites that they are the only one approved in usa .
      And guess what , these orgs are only approved in some states and not valid in other states.
      And if ncees wrote they are the only one approved in usa , then what other orgs are doing ? Scamming foreign engineers under the protection of the law ?

    Do you know all the states in the southeast region that allow the FE waiver, specifically FL, SC, NC, VA, Kentucky, AL?

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Selsius1000 Unfortunately, I don't have information specific to each state and their policies regarding FE Exam waivers. Each state board of registration for engineers has its own set of rules and regulations governing exam waivers. It's important to consult the official website of the board in each state you're interested in to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on FE waiver criteria and eligibility.
      Here are the links to some of the websites of the boards of registration for engineers in the states you mentioned:
      Florida: Florida Board of Professional Engineers: www.fbpe.org/
      North Carolina: North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors: www.ncbels.org/
      These websites typically have sections dedicated to exam fees and waivers, or they may provide contact information for someone who can answer your questions directly.
      It's also worth noting that the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) offers some general information about FE Exam waivers on their website. However, this information may not be specific to each state's individual policies.

    Hi Anthony,
    I have done BE civil from India, which is equivalent to BS in USA ( FYI, Right now I am state employee. I did my BS degree evaluation from one of the state recommend institution in USA for my job). I do have 2 masters, one is in structural engineering and second is in MS Water Resources Engineering from Cal state. I do have experience of working In California for past13 months. Do I qualify for waiver for FE in California? If you don't mind, Can you give me your contact information? I want to discuss few more things with you.

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You might qualify for an FE exam waiver in California based on your experience and education. Here's why:
      @rupasigi7289 California allows an FE exam waiver for applicants with a combination of relevant work experience and an accredited engineering bachelor's degree.
      Your BE civil from India being equivalent to a BS in the US strengthens your case. The evaluation from a state-recommended institution for your job further validates your credentials.
      Your two master's degrees in structural and water resources engineering from Cal State add to your qualifications.
      However, there's one key factor to consider:
      The minimum required experience for the FE waiver in California is 15 years. You mentioned 13 months of experience, which falls short.
      Here's what you can do:
      Check your experience details: Carefully review your work experience in California. Ensure you can document all relevant engineering work you've done in the past 13 months. Sometimes, depending on the nature of the work, even less than 15 years can be considered with strong justification.
      Contact the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (CA BPELSG): They are the licensing authority. Explain your situation and inquire about the possibility of a waiver with your specific experience and qualifications. They can provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on your eligibility.
      Here are some resources that can help you further:
      CA BPELSG Flowchart for Engineer Intern (EI) Waiver: CA BPELSG Waiver Flowchart: www.bpelsg.ca.gov/applicants/flowchart_for_eit_waiver.pdf
