love this clip...renee rich on left, me in the middle on background vocals and brother brother allan on keyboards...thanks for posting, laurie rich lee
The summer of 1968 I found myself in Shannon Mississippi, a suburb of Tupelo, working at a club called the Gold Room. It was raining like hell when Charlie pulled in with a a electric keyboard, covered by a tarp, in the back of his pick up truck. There was Charley, his guitar player, and me that unloaded that heavy damn piano and we were all soaking wet by the time we got it unloaded. Charley played that night and the folks around Tupelo knew Charley well and a couple of his songs I remember were "Lonely Weekends" and "Mohair Sam" I can remember Charley telling me that his first love was Jazz music. It was another hot night in July or August in Mississippi,, in the summer of 68.
'Nice clips! Please don't forget Laurie Rich (Lee) and the quality of her renderings for her dad, and Ronnie Milsap. In my opinion, she was one of the single greatest female background vocalists of all time. Her range, resonance, stage presence, and harmonic perfection was something to listen to. Laurie could get in the middle of two different voices, and blend them like paint; all while she was having fun! 'Rest in peace, sweet lady.

That's my dad on drums, btw. Donnie Patterson.
My friend, the late, great Danny Rhodes plays a fine guitar solo here on his burgundy-colored Gibson Les Paul Deluxe.
