- Celebrating Quincy Jones's 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl!
Such a privilege to be here for Quincy, and such a special moment to share with @jacobcollier .
There was no official video or audio, so I am indebted to all those who sent me informal footage.
Special thanks to Krista Montagna-Gordon & @brianjames8838, and indeed @christianstaines00 for piecing all the puzzle pieces of footage together!

I’ve already heard you playing violine. First time, I saw you as a conductor. The talent in your family seems to be limitless.
Thank you for sharing this, Suzie. It's truly splendid and deeply touching to witness the bond between you and your son as you play together with such genuine love, remarkable talent, and genuine humility.
PS: I must also mention that the dress looks absolutely awesome! ✨
Thank you for your lovely words!
You must burst with pride when you see Jacob doing his thing 😊 @@SuzieCollier
I love this song🎹
I now better understand Jacob’s style of bringing an audience to life with his direction, you Suzie embody the music as does your son. Brava!
I forgot to record this gem, thank‘s for sharing ❤ this was an unbelievable night 🙌
Thank you for bringing up such fine specimens of human beings.
One can say: You did all right.👍
Thank you for being you.
I have never before enjoyed looking at a conductor's movements that much - so lively, dancing, elegant, and dignified at the same time. The beauty of a violinist and conductor in one person, I guess. Thank you for sharing this!♥
Thank you so much for your kind and generous response. Honestly, conducting is a privilege and a joy!

Well, every inch of you radiates this joy. :)
Bravo Suzie and Jacob 👏👏 You are magic ❤
I saw this performance in person! I don’t normally like when people redo songs but I loved what he did with this song! Unique voice!
Thank you for sharing this and much gratitude for all the lovely music and good will that you and your son share with the world.
Fantastic, and a beautiful cherished memory for you both I'm sure. Loved it, inspiring.
This song transports me 700 miles away, and a couple of feet shorter than I am now, back to my childhood. What a lovely rendition.
And I'd like to suggest all conductors wear sequins from now on 😉
His voice is amazing & I love what they are both wearing!
thank you Suzie for your and your son’s wonderful music and inspiration you give to the world. i really hope that one day i will become someone as good as you both. lots of love ❤️❤️❤️
A gift for our soul! Thanks!
Jake is a genius musician. He is so, so underrated! His vocal range is very impressive and the arrangement was on point. Great cover Jake and the orchestra!!👏🏿🎶
what is that absolutely pristine chord progression on piano over that string drone in the beginning?! wow.
Wonderful! I am only sorry that this concert escaped my consciousness. I saw Jacob at the Playboy Jazz Festival a handful of years ago and absolutely loved his set! Suzie, I admire and respect you for a lot of different reasons, not the least of which is you being such a terrific mum to your fabulous children. Cheers!
Epic!
A very beaultiful version of Human Nature. I like it!
Very good Performance, great live Video
Beautiful !!!!!
Jacob’s voice is wonderful. I feel physically good listening to it. How did he learn to sing like that? Listening to the recording of ’Little blue’ is, with his voice, almost like some kind of a healing experience. Congrats also to Mum!
I was there! I wish the audience had been more in a sing along mood lol. But I'm sure we'll all be onboard the audience choir train in a few weeks when I see Jacob at the. Bowl again in his own show.
bravissimo Jacob and Suzie!
Fabulous!
Fantastic!
So cool!
Beautiful ❤
Encantamentos do Brasil. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hermoso.
This is so awesome! I got to see Jacob live, but I wish you were there to perform this with him! Also, I just got a violin recently, and I was wondering if you had any beginner tips?
Enjoy the process of making a sound on the violin, and learn to love your sound and encourage it to come out with freedom of movement in right and left hands!
@@SuzieCollier Thank you so much. I will do that

okay, that does a lot to explain what the hell that is going on in your violin playing. YOU'RE A CONDUCTOR! Of course...The hairs on the bow, the positions on the finger board as numerous, *they're your orchestra*. It would have to be something like that...
Maybe that would work as further argument that, for as many world-class violinists as you're familiar with, there should still be real need for recordings of your playing.
Thank you for your dear msg....I hear you!
Geez Louise. My goodness...
