I’m so glad you two do these Friday night videos! Your relationship is beautiful to see. The internet needs more positive married black couples. I grew up with a wonderful non-biological father. But most of my friends grew up without a father. I thank God for my dad. He held my hand when my first child was born, and he held my hand when I lost my mother 14 years ago. He held my hand when my first born graduated high school three years ago and he helped my husband and I buy him his a car this past summer. I’m very blessed to have a father that loves me and my children have the best grandfather in the whole world. When I was younger, I thought I was missing something because I didn’t have a relationship with my biological father. It took me to become an adult to realize that what I had was so much better. I have a father who wants to be my father. He never had to be in my life; he chose to. That’s an amazing thing! I’d never trade him for anyone in the world! If I tried, I’m sure my husband and children would choose him over me. I love my dad with all my heart.
I fully understand this message. I had a father that chose me, too. My circumstances were a little bit different. My biological father died very young.
Tab and Chance y'all are going to change someone life with these Friday night talks. I love this one. I'm daddy's girl to but it's good to hear from a man's perspective of growing up without a father in the home. God bless you all! That song at the end, I love. Your daughter is talented. Go young lady!
Wow... This gave me a new perspective of how to look at the times my Dad wasn't there. But grateful for the men God placed in my path. Awesome conversation. Thank y'all so much!
I've had my dad in my life since I was born and when my mom passed away in 1995 of breast cancer. Him and I did not see eye-to-eye. We never got along. I actually hated my dad because he treated my mom so bad. He treated my brother my sister and I so bad he was an alcoholic he was abusive and I did not want to be his daughter. On my mom's death bed she told me it's going to take for her to pass away to have a relationship with my brother Mark and. Sister Jennifer brother and me wirh our dad. She was so right. I was 22 years old my brother was 20 and my sister was 16. He was all we had. He wanted to leave us and move with his father. I told him that it was up to him now to be a parent not only to me and my brother but to my little sister it was 16 at the time. So he stayed. I am 48 now my brother is 46 and my sister is 41. I have 3 grown daughters and my sister has children too. And a grandbaby on the way. He is a totally different person. After a while he started telling us he loved us. We had never heard those words from my dad all our lives. He loves adores his grandchildren. He calls them everyday let's just see how things are going. Like my mom said it would take her to pass away for us to have a relationship with our father. And let me tell you I Don't hate him. I love the man that he is today so much. And I'm sure my mom is it heaven looking down thinking he's finally loving his children. And he is so freakin excited to be a great grampa!! My daughter is having a GIRL!! ❤❤❤❤ Love you Tab and your beautiful family!! Much love and hugs from Galveston, Tx !!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very touching story. Something that I have learned is a lot of times during a relationship one of the parents sometimes can't give the best of themselves. When that parent finally finds themselves usually their kids are grown. That's when the best of them start to come out because they are finally settled in their own spirits. Then they usually pass that love that they didn't/wasn't able to show their kids too their grandkids and eventually too their kids as well.
Loved this vlog. My wonderful daddy died Nov 9, 2017 and God I wish I could call him everyday. He was an amazing sweet loving man. He and my mom were married 63 yrs at time of his death. My mom still living at 83 doing well. Treasure those calls and know at least one viewer, me, is happy for you to still have him here on earth. I miss my sweet daddy everyday, every minute. God bless you both. You are an amazing couple and Chance, pat yourself on back for all you stand for as a good daddy. I work with many fatherless children and you give them hope. ❤️😊
Tears hearing Chance talking about your father Tab and how he made him have a conversation and respect him. My goodness it made me very emotional. My father is still living but he has never showed up in my life. Tab when I heard you say you father made you feel this way and that way and I responded with I don't know so I have attracted the wrong guys and I'm trying to get it right and I have to take pieces from my uncles, pastors and sermons and that's where my teaching comes from
I understand Chance too. In every since of trying to understand how a parent should show a child love that they weren't taught by their parents because their parents weren't taught by their parents and so forth. Because the crippling effect will never stop unless there is someone who comes along mature enough in the emotional aspect but also smart enough to discern who needs and how to give his/ her knowledge to a needing person in a way that inspires them to self reflect and try to do better. Gone head Tab daddy. You're amazing!
I’m not Vegan, but I fast and give up meat periodically, so you have definitely given me additional ideas. I enjoy your blogs. You have a beautiful Family, protect that at all costs.
Man, this was so good. I can see the Holy Spirit in you guys, the glow. God is with your family, guiding you all along your way. You are using your platform to help so many. I look forward to Fridays so much!! TGIF 🙏❤🙏
I didn't have a father in my life, but, I had great father figures in my uncle's. My Maternal grandmother had 11 children. A lot of support. I thank God 🙏🏾
Real talk!! When chance said he didn't wish he had one..u truly never know what type of father your gonna be dealt with!! Sometimes u may be better off without one..than with one..thats totally toxic!!!
What a great conversation. Young men should hear this. We teach what we do. So many good points. Tabitha thank God you grew to have understanding. Beautiful
Excellent video! Chance thank you for sharing your heart! It was great that you broke the cycle of not having a father present! Tab it was wonderful you have a fabulous father! My father has passed but i have memories! May God’s Blessings shower down on your family!
Wow chance response was an amazing outlook on his personal situation also sad that the reality kinda was that so many children were like him that it didn’t really cross his mind until later on...I simply love you guys...and it is true you can’t miss what you never had in a sense
I loved this! Listening to Chance gave me something to talk to my son about, I raised him alone. He too, had men in his life for seasons and while they were blessings to him, he didn't get enough. I know have a new perspective when it comes to men who didn't have their father or a father figure around. Thank you!!! ❤❤❤
I Love you 2, You’re such a loving couple, I Love you guys transparencies, you have no idea, how this video will bless so many people, I was a single parent, and I’m sharing this video with my grown babies, I am a hugging Mom as well, Chance, had me tearing up, such a great husband, for such a wife, I just think you all have the idea marriage, I Love it, May God continue blessing this unit, you both has big hearts, not selfish, but you all love selflessly, Keep doing what you all are doing!!!! And I am so inspired by Tabitha, and family vegan life style, I am on my third week, and by God’s grace, I will continue. Be blessed Family.
Tab I'm a daddy's girl at 50, I talk to my Daddy everyday several times a day. Chance just know not having a father I agree with Tab you're setting the stage for your son. I just love my cyber family "The Brown Family". My family hug all the time hugs are great a great big hug from my family warms my soul.
You all relationship seems so beautiful . I pray to find a man like Chance one day . I thought Choyce looked like Tab , but now I see that she looks exactly like Dad . God Bless
GOD Is Going To Send You A Husband Keep Yourself Ready To Receive Him I Was 30 And That Was 27 Years Old I Am Passing This Message Forward Bc Someone Passed It To Me 💜💜🙏🙏
I really enjoyed this talk Tab and Chance. Thank you.... Chance you really describe a lot of men who went through the same situation. And I think it is wonderful of you to speak on it. Blessings to you, Tab and the family. I was blessed to have had my Mom and Dad together in my life for 29 years when my Dad passed. I feel like I put my Dad on a pedestal too. ☺️☺️He was everything to me. Continue the growth!!
Black love at it's finest! This is free therapy for anyone willing to listen and learn. Tabitha, you asked some very thought-provoking questions and I didn't see you reading from any cue cards. Girl, you need your own talk show! Chance, thank you for being so open in this conversation. I'm so inspired by you two. What a beautiful couple, inside and out. Great video!
Thank you guys for sharing your lives. My husband didn’t have a father so he strived to be the best dad so our children will have the example of what a good father is.....He has done an amazing job.
Loved every moment of this video! My husband and I participated in a class at our church called ReEngage. The very first thing we discussed were the "expectations" we all have coming into these marriages and relationships and how those expectations will break a marriage/relationship all the way down if you don't take into consideration the other person's past, experiences, etc. that make them who they are and why they are the way they are, and to stop "expecting" them to be what you think they should be. We both learned to respect each other's past, discuss it, really listen, and work together to create the relationship that worked for us and not for what we expected it to be or what someone else's relationship was like. Key word....communicate. Thanks, Tab and Chance.
This was one of your best friday videos. Chance did a excellent job explaining how it was growing up without a father. I cried and laughed through out the video. VERY GOOD 👍
That was so nice, I really enjoyed you guys. I pray that you continue respecting one another and what we see on these snippets of your life are truly what's going on when the cameras are off. God bless you 💕
I feel just like Chance! Absent parent has effects, but we can't always say it would've been better if that person was there. It really depends on what type of person they were/would've been.
Awesome episode! I agreed with Tabitha when she said everyone does not have the same experience. I grew up with my dad in the house but he was abusive to my mother, was not loving and neglected his children in so many ways. So just having a father in the home does not make the family experience a perfect one.
Tabitha Brown 😢 I can’t even believe I got this one in the first picture but it was a great 😊 xx thank for your support I really do love the ashes of love 💕 thank for your service and your support and your service and I will never 👎🏼 stop being a part of this community and it is so wonderful that I can have you in this life again thank me again I am a part of the whole
Chance, that was such a great intelligent answer regarding a father. Growing up the were about two dads on our block now that I think about it. My dad totally messed up my two brothers. Great topic 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Tab and Chance I loved your topic. My dad just recently passed away and I didn't grow up with him and it very distended for a while. I was in my twenties when my dad and I started our relationship and I forgave him. So much on your topic hit home, with my siblings and myself. I am so blessed that I forgave. Because I wouldn't have know the man that he was and forgiveness. I just feel for my children and my grand children, to loose there only grand parent. My mom passed when I was 15yrs. Of aged. Chance just your words and what you were talking about regarding learning how to be a man from males that didn't know. They were in the same situation that you were in. Thank you so much. God Bless.
I understand what chance is saying I never had a father in my life either and its true you don't miss what you never had...but now that I'm 37 just being older it would be nice now to have one just to experience what it would be like... the effects for me was I it was hard for me to trust a man I thought every man was the same and the truth is there not its still some good men out there thank GOD one found me and he has so much patience with me. Now I get why it's important to have a mom and dad in your life ,it just balances you out emotionally
This was a great video! I'm sure it touched a lot of people in relating to your stories and also giving new perspecitves. Love you two! Again! Great content! Keep it up!
I knew my dad and I would see my dad around but now I feel like I wish I wouldn’t havehave known a dad because like Chance I had a wonderful mother so I was better off not knowing of a dad
So glad you decided to do this video. Love seeing how your face lights up when you talk about your daddy and how Chance opened up and shared. Such a beautiful couple. Thanks again for sharing.
Thank For this segment I am definitely going to share this with my daughter who grew up without a father so that she will know what to look for and how to work out things in a relationship
This really help me more than you guys will ever know. My son's biological father is not a part of his life and doesn't want to be and my mind always wonders how my son will deal with it in the future! So thank you Chance for your testimony and thank you both for bringing up the subject. This subject can be a little hard to talk about. I want to always do my best as a mother to teach and train my son to be an upstanding person. I can't teach him to be a man and don't want to, but I thank GOD for my father (his grandfather) because he is standing in the GAP for my baby and I really appreciate it. So thank you both for this video. GOD bless you both!
Thank you for this conversation. It gave some great wisdom and insight into fatherhood not to mention race even once. I'm still navigating the dynamics of my relationship with my daddy and honey let me tell you it's gone take the entire Heavenly Father to fix it, but I believe he not only can, but He will.
Wow. Thanks for sharing this. Chance, I really love hearing your perspectives as a man who grew up without his father. Than you VERY MUCH for your candor on how men love... A lot of men feel the need to sound homophobic when they talk about this topic. VERY GOOD.
I just started watching your videos I love your dynamic. I’m from NC and have the same relationship with my father and husband. I’m a country girl at the heart and a daddy’s girl as well. “Don’t talk about my daddy” AGGIE PRIDE!!!!
I don’t know why I got so emotional watching this. I had my dad but there were definitely qualities that I wish he had and memories I wish I had with my father that I wasn’t able to receive even though he was present. I think Chance is right when he said it depends on what kind of man is in your life and the quality you give. Thank y’all for this
Hey!!!! Tab l just wanted to let you know I enjoy seeing you and your husband together better yet your family showing us love 💕 you are definitely a ray of Sun shine keep lighting up the world with your glow of life!!!!! your candle is bright can’t nobody put that out cause it’s within Hollywood would never value what u have to offer which is truth, love, adventurous, courage, obedience, smarts, beauty, style and class etc.....The Universe knows who u are and has allowed u to be on a bigger stage right now for the whole world to see right here and right now !!! and you are the CEO!!!! I love you GURL!!!!!!

Really do. Uplifting...not all that drama and "rah rahness"
I fully understand this message. I had a father that chose me, too. My circumstances were a little bit different. My biological father died very young.

Wow... This gave me a new perspective of how to look at the times my Dad wasn't there. But grateful for the men God placed in my path. Awesome conversation. Thank y'all so much!

Wow!! When Chance said, If I fail, I'm going to fail forward. That really helped me. Thank you guys for being transparent.
Great perspective. Thank you for the transparency and vulnerability.
Well said!!😘

What a beautiful and deep conversation. Thanks Chance for opening up and making yourself so vulnerable. We've got to let more men see this vlog.
I’m not Vegan, but I fast and give up meat periodically, so you have definitely given me additional ideas. I enjoy your blogs. You have a beautiful Family, protect that at all costs.

Exactly. Their expressions are exactly alike.
Yes she does. And Quest looks just like Tab. They have such a beautiful family.
She's a combination. Look at Tab's younger pics. She looks like her momma.
I didn't have a father in my life, but, I had great father figures in my uncle's. My Maternal grandmother had 11 children. A lot of support. I thank God 🙏🏾

Chance is funny 😆 and they are funny together 😂
Cute couple...lol picking up the fork cracked me up.😂🤣

The way he gives you the side eye every time you say “we forgot to pray”
🤣🤣
My Husband Used To Give Me A Side Eye Too When I Said We Forgot To Pray But He Prays First That Is GOD 💜💜🙏🙏
Chance is hilarious!!
IKR?! He kills me when he leaves one eye open.😂😂😂
Fail forward is a great philosophy in all circumstances.

"Is your daddy 5'8"?" 🤣
What a sweet way to end such a very serious topic. Thanks for sharing. ⚘⚘

This was an amazing talk and such a deep topic. You guys touched on so many good points.
Good answer Chance; you never know what you would have gotten if you "wished" to have a father in your life. This is a very intelligent man.
“Yo daddy was Bill Cosby” 😂 immediately thought of that daggum doorbell. Y’all are so funny!!!
I absolutely love this session and I absolutely love, love! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
God has a way of developing individuals. I appreciate the honesty & transparency!
I LOOOVE when Tab complimented Chance and how he fathers their son. That was beautiful reassurance.

Come thru Choyce with the intro!!!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Whew Chile, this is a real message.
I love this! So true!! My husband and I have similar situations BUT my grandparents raised me. This video is everything! Thanks so much for sharing!
When you grabbed the fork! 😂😂😂💓💓💓 love y'all!
Awesome episode! I agreed with Tabitha when she said everyone does not have the same experience. I grew up with my dad in the house but he was abusive to my mother, was not loving and neglected his children in so many ways. So just having a father in the home does not make the family experience a perfect one.
Thank you for this conversation I have learned how to approach my son (has an absent father) & approach a relationship with a guy with out a father.
Thank you for blessing me with this message, I’m raising my son without a father and it hurts me. Thank you for sharing your story
Thank you for sharing Tab. I just looked up the cookies. They are right here in Dallas /Ft.Worth!
I love y'all so much! Thank you for the real talk. Very moving.

Chance, your are an AMAZING dad, too!!!🙏🏼
This was a great video! I'm sure it touched a lot of people in relating to your stories and also giving new perspecitves. Love you two! Again! Great content! Keep it up!
Wow powerful.. I'm a fixer too just "shut up and listen"... really glad I heard this...
Beautiful Husband and Wife, love you both!❤❤
I have watched a number of your videos and this one by far resonated with me. Especially what Chance said about his life without a father.
This is such an important video to be seen and heard! God bless!
Thank you, for the share as always. Enjoy you guys! Great song!
This was a very touching and real topic!
Real talk, adorable, beautiful couple. Thank you!
Blackie is so cute and he got to be in the video too!🤗😘
This is powerful and real. How do you learn to love a man or woman without examples? They are helping so many people.
Thank you for this conversation. It gave some great wisdom and insight into fatherhood not to mention race even once. I'm still navigating the dynamics of my relationship with my daddy and honey let me tell you it's gone take the entire Heavenly Father to fix it, but I believe he not only can, but He will.
Choyce!!! Ok girl with the quick production! Very good! That new song intro is banging! ❤️😂
Thank y’all for this
Very very good. Chances answers are so uh... sincere and true to his heart. Very real
14:23 didn’t think Tabs eyes could get any bigger ! Chance ...watch ya self now. Tab almost took you out.
