Situated between Phuket and Krabi, Koh Yao Noi is one of the largest islands in Phang Nga Bay. This island is a true ocean paradise, offering some of the best ocean and sunset views in Thailand. A stay of 3-5 days is recommended to fully appreciate the scenery and partake in all the outdoor activities available.
HOW TO GET TO KOH YAO NOI
You can reach Koh Yao Noi from either Phuket or Krabi. Some hotels may offer complimentary transfers, where their representatives will pick you up at the airport. If there are additional fees, it's still the most convenient option as it eliminates all the hassles.
If your hotel does not provide this service, you'll need to take a taxi from the airport to Bang Rong Pier in Phuket or Ao Thalen Pier in Krabi. From there, you can take a speedboat or a long-tail boat to the main pier on Koh Yao Noi (Manoh Pier), followed by a local taxi to your hotel.
The high/peak season of the Andaman Sea lasts from October to March of every year. However, I personally prefer January or February. The sea is serene and simply stunning. The weather is pristine, optimal for all outdoor activities.

Many hotels in Koh Yao Noi are located in secluded areas surrounded by dense tropical forests, making mosquitoes and insects prevalent. Although hotels and resorts strive to keep these pests away from their guests, encounters are still likely.
The simplest solution is to purchase a local insect repellent, which is readily available in convenience stores and malls. You can also request it from the hotel, but it is recommended to buy one, as you will likely need it when leaving your accommodation for excursions.
