I'm glad you went over the fluff. I've read everything they've put out, and I think it's some of the best stuff in the industry. I'd recommend the malifaux cards to anyone, the art on them is awesome. Next video i'd go over cheating fate and soul stones a bit more in depth, it really is the nitty gritty of the game.
Malifaux is a great game with balanced rules and awesome miniatures. It deserves more attention, glad to see that you are going to push it.

I actually love the look of most of the models. They have a comic-book style that really sets them apart from the 'heroic' style of Warhammer or Warmahordes.
This game is on my list of must play as I love the minis.
+Neil Jeffery Wyrd have always made sensational miniatures. I can't count how many open painting comps I've seen won where a Wyrd mini is the winner.

Ok, card systems have potential and I understand the rules are free and therefore easy to try. Also I agree with your sentiments. Really my comment was for JB's benefit but I appreciate you getting involved. With so much going on in the miniatures industry I just didn't think a Maulifaux series with multiple episodes was the way to go. Still, I can't afford to pay her NOT to do it...

Great start to Malifaux Monday's. I like the music in the background. Very fitting with the genre of western/steam punk. I'd say cover the different factions a little more in detail or how the game plays. It's your choice in the end and I think you'll do well.
Not sure about the rest of the world, but the US is getting another major GW price increase May 28th. It's nice that you are expanding to review other games because I think a lot of players will be exploring other game companies as GW is pricing itself out of the market for many.
I don't play the game myself, but I love the story. I just want to know about the world of Malifaux, especially the Neverborn and their agenda.

Yes. The box sets are about 25 soul stones. Most people play around 35, but games in which both players control two masters can go over 55.
I'd suggest researching the crew you want first, before even bothering to buy models. It is not as balanced as WM/H, straight out of the starter box. The forum is the best place to get that kind of helpd, as there will be lots of tips and hints about what works best, or what crews will get walked over by another crew; straight out of the box.

I think you should maybe interview some people who actually play different factions and have them answer a question about their faction or Crew...I like the new music and logo
I think you may want to work on the background static noise because it takes away from the overall quality of your video's which without the noise would be spot on.
Otherwise I think its a great start and will be watching the rest of these as they come out as I will be picking up my first crew June 2nd!

Joey, I think one concept you may have got wrong is that you actually don't build your crew until after the type of game has been chosen. This is unlike Warhammer (for example) where you build your army list and then role for game type. Of course you are still limited by the models you have for whatever faction you are playing.

Malifaux is actually sounding interesting. Besides I am always eager to get my hands into more steam punk themed games besides of Warmachine that I already play.

Anyone else think the outcasts are the Misc. category? I think some of the people in the outcasts could become their own factions over time. Friekorps could become a faction of its own.

You have me interested. You mentioned you can download the rules for free. Where?
I thought that wandering around a seemingly ruined city looking for magic rocks sounded familiar, though I don't know any of the rules. Maybe they are great rules? though if they use a D6 how different can the maths be? Either way those minis just aren't very good, compare them to Empire of the Dead minis by West Wind for example. There is no real immersion in a fight with an angry panda.

They do not use D6, the use a deck of cards. Empire of the dead miniatures are fantastic but for me so are Malifaux. An angry teddy bear, who hasn't had that nightmare lol. Anyway, I suppose thats why there are so many miniature games out there, not every game will appeal to every person. Find what you like and have fun.

Well obviously same over in the UK what with GW being a UK company. But yep, pricing themselves out. I always wanted to get into GW stuff when I was a kid but it was stupidly expensive. Now it's 2012, it's still stupidly expensive. Only place I get GW stuff now is from independent shops and only when they are doing discounts.

I was strongly considering playing this game because quite frankly I think the miniatures look wonderful! This video helped explain the game and got me even more excited. What crew did you play and which one do you plan to get for yourself? Also, if you haven't discovered pullmyfinger(dot)wikispaces(dot)com, I suggest you check it out. It has great advice on all the masters of Malifaux. Have fun with Malifaux!

It sounds very fun and looks really cool. I've found that most games are Sci-Fi or Fantasy, not that that's a bad thing but this adds something different.

The whole 'I'm in a fallen city looking for magic rocks' thing struck me as unoriginal and what little originality I saw in the minis was uninspiring. If you love Malifaux then fair play but it's not for me, even if the rules are great.
