@@emeerdanvers8090 what are you yapping about? south park has always been stupid, fucking wendy called a terroist attack on her lesbian sub in the first season the show has always been nuts
Real life is a fucking South Park episode at this point the show writes itself.
I say that applies more to rick and morty
As much as they’re mocking the idea, Matt and Trey ironically do a great job making the diverse incarnations feel like the actual characters. I would ACTUALLY watch a full episode with just these characters.
Which brings a point doesn't it... They "mock" the idea while doing a really well thoughtful job of it, not lazily at all. They actually SHOW how it looks when its lazily done with Randy later on. Makes me think they aren't really much against the idea itself. Just like Kyle saying "Multiverse movies are dumb" while doing a great multiverse story based special. Kinda showing they're really NOT against these things....just against laziness
That's more than what the Executives of every major company and even Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast even do
I would definitely not watch that show.
It's funny. Cartman gets the black woman when he's infamous for being racist and Kenny gets the sexy woman because Kenny likes women
@@claudegrenier3180 >"Just like Kyle saying "Multiverse movies are dumb"" Might just be vernacular for multiverses are lazy cash-ins and possibly political agendas too? As you say the main culprit is creative laziness and cynical posturing... The way the ladies stand with their hips out... !

Diverse Cartman REALLY needs to make a comeback in future episodes
Okay, this is obviously meant to be satire but after her line at 2:29 I expected the boys to be like, yup that's actually Cartman alright
That comes later in the special lol when most of them realize that being diverse doesn't change the core of the character if well done. Kinda the point of the whole special. They aint against diversity and multiverse stuff.... just the ones done lazily

Hey Matt & Trey, just wanted to say thanks for being such awesome dudes. Y’all keep my sanity going with the way the world has changed and gone to shit. You guys will always be in my heart as Stan, Kyle, Kenne, and of course my favorites Cartman & Randy. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate what you’ve done my whole life. I’m 30 years old now soon 31 and I started watching around 7 years old. It means a lot that you’ve stuck around and I hope you continue. I hope to maybe see y’all somewhere in life one day so I can buy you beer or smoke some of my dank Tegridy with you 🍻😶🌫️
The best part about this is how not only do they completely demolish all the shows and movies doing this "lets race swap the characters" crap, but they show them all up by giving their token women of color good writing and an actual personality.
I swear the creators of those shows and movies would still find a reason to call this episode racist and sexist, then say that their stuff failed because there's just too many racists and sexists
I have a theory they write diverse shows bad on purpose so when people don’t like them they can use those as examples to fuel their “people are racist and sexist” propaganda machine
That plus they make fun of people who actually get upset over all of it

after the last few years of decent episodes and specials, they really nailed it with this one. This was a super funny episode
this show never fails to be hilarious
Seeing Cartman jumping out of windows has to be one of the funniest things I've seen in a long long time.
The social commentary on both the main plot and the sub plot was hilarious, very well executed. This is my favorite Paramount special yet and I'm placing it among my personal top 20 "episodes".
Don't forget the multiverse fatigue

They hit it out the park on this one I absolutely died laughing watching this last night, every single storyline was pure comedy gold. The specials have been mostly good but this is probably the best one they've put out so far
RIP. Thank you for writing this comment before your untimely death.
Ha "Park"
1:10 - the way she said that had me dying
In all seriousness, humor and satire aside, this was an EXTREMELY clever episode!
Every 2-3 years or so South Park makes history. Its literally like a time capsule of our lives. I can point back to MechaStreisand or The Hampster Adventure in the Ass, or the 4th Graders & the Forbidden Tape, or Micheal Jackson wanting to climb trees, the debut of the Xmas Poo, Tegridy Farms, etc. They just keep hitting the pop culture home run so well.
I don't watch the show BUT I will watch those singular episodes.

"You can't be racist towards white people" is exactly what Cartman would say if he wasn't white. The characters are on point.
The tone of how she said "Wuuut-thaaa-fuuuuuuck?" when Cartman came thudding into reality though
The voice actress for Diverse Cartman was having way too much fun trying to act like Cartman 😂
Multiverse in a story is like Time Travel. It sounds really fun and creative, but raises so many questions and problems that you should never bother with it in the first place
Like what? Multi-verse Theory is real. 2nd most people dont even understand how time works.
@@noirekuroraigami2270 Why should I care if a character dies if there are infinite versions of them that are still alive? Why should I care about saving one world when infinite versions of that world have already been destroyed? What makes my world special?
If we can use time travel to solve one problem, why can't we use it to solve all of them? If the heroes use time travel, what stops villains from utilizing it too? Is the future set in stone, or in a constant state of flux? Is that past similarly set, and any interventions is harmless AND pointless? Or is the past so delicate that any intervention will have cascading consequences.

For a second i thought kyle was the only kid left in south park
So Matt & Trey usually don’t finish the episode/special until right before they release it. I got that idea too, that Kyle would be the only one left. That’s because of they trailer they released. But they make they trailers before they even finish the episodes. So if you go back and look, a lot of the scenes and dialogue from their trailers are a lot different than what ends up being in the episodes
This doesn't feel like diverse actors trying to be the South Park kids, it feels like real alternate versions and it works
It works because the crew has actual talent to pull off but it's a satire: it had to work to make fun of the real ones who don't.
That’s cuz they ARE the characters they aren’t actors
@@Ohhhnooooo88 I realized that's what they where going for. I'm just impressed at how well they succeeded

1:25 so I guess they wanted to give the line to Kyle first but than they change it to Stan, and then the animators forgot to fix it.
In my opinion I think they both were suppose to say something but Stan was funnier so they cut Kyle out.
Lmao. Hot Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle was never a sentence I thought I’d utter.
The voice actresses who play the alternate universe characters are really good. It's the first time a diverse cast is actually good. Disney should take notes XD

Diverse cartmans voice is perfect. I'm a casual fan and i wouldn't mind seeing these versions again.
Ironically, this is how you do “race-swapping” correctly. Even though AU Cartman is black, she still acts and talks like how Cartman would. She’s literally Cartman as a black woman. The biggest mistakes I’ve seen shows do when they race-swap characters (looking at you Velma) is that they completely change the character’s personality and it makes people question “is that supposed to be the same character we know?” Good on Trey, Matt, and the rest of the writers for getting this down right
