The Danger of Being Easily Offended - Bill Johnson (Sermon Clip) | Bethel Church

  • More than ever, we can find reason for offense every day. In this sermon clip, Bill Johnson explains the enemy’s strategy in tempting us with offense, and what it does to our hearts. While there is often a legitimate reason for offense, allowing ourselves to become offended clouds our hearts and becomes a poison that makes us bitter and keeps us from effectively demonstrating the Kingdom of God in the earth.

God gave me a vision of offense as a poison-tipped arrow. The longer we allow it to stay lodged in our spirit, mind, heart, the more the poison seeps into our system…put it away…RIGHT away!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We waste too much times caring
    about feelings and acceptance.
The enemy plays on our desire
for approval and we trade our

We are being bombarded with wisdom that is "earthly, natural, and demonic". Imagine that, even the demons have wisdom. Lord, I only want to increase in the wisdom that comes from above -- "pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and not hypocritical."

This is the most needed message for the church all around the world. We need to repent for making taking offense acceptable in the church. It is not acceptable!

Thank you Pastor. What you've said is absolutely true and so serious. Bitterness and offense were the open doors into my heart that I gave the enemy. I was tired, busy, distracted. Bitterness and offense so subtly slithered in and with them "every other evil thing."
Brothers and sisters this is so serious. I lost everything I love. THE foothold I gave to the enemy was bitterness and offense.
Please do what Pastor Bill has said.

this is so hard for me because I get antagonized at work by people on my faith and i’m just dumbfounded like “I didn’t even do anything”. So I don’t know how to pray about this… I don’t want to keep staying quiet and all this anger within and it blow up one day and I lose my job.
