Hello. I have a charger completely similar to your Opus just with the brand Japcell. It is a good charger with a separate display which is an advantage. You should try to use "Quick test" mode so you can see the internal resistance of the battery which should preferably be under 500 mOHM as far as I remember. High resistance in the battery is probably because your battery is worn, charge it slowly due to heat. Now you are probably aware of it, but "Refresh mode" and the other functions are only finished when the charger writes "FULL" in the display. I couldn't see that in your video. I am very satisfied with the charger as you can see the state of the battery with the charger. You just don't let fully charged batteries stay in the charger for long periods on LSD batteries such as eneloop. Good luck with it.
Before or after? You can do a quick test before and after charging. If the quick test shows low on a battery that should be charged you can drain it before you charge it. That does a pretty good refresh and will help the battery come back. I do it faster with a 1 battery flashlight though.
My charger keeps telling my batteries are bad and will not charge. Does this device still charge them? I know those batteries are still good. I only used them a dozen times or so. Or are new rechargeable batteries just junk now?
This charger will recharge batteries that the littler less smart chargers say are bad. I have quite a few that would be in the garbage if not for this charger. I also just threw away a bunch of AAAs right before I bought this charger. I wish I would have bought it sooner. I would still be using them as well.
