Why is everyone saying the movie changed history? Other than the amount of soldiers being reduced from 7000 to 300, the Spartans still lost this battle. Just like in real life.
I feel like this movie could have been more interesting if they used realistic uniforms. Yes I understand that it's just a movie, but it definitely wouldn't hurt for the Spartans to be wearing chestplates or the Persians to not have monsters and rhinos, they could have just used elephants and chariots.
The greeks always love the underdog depiction of them.. we're they were just men against monster's.... Also these movie is based on the greek propaganda during that time to inspire the other greeks

The battle of Thermopylae lasted for around 3 or 4 days. This scene depicts the first day of the battle when the greeks faced the Persians and they won until the last day when after the betrayal of ephialtes the greeks were surrounded and lost. The movie depicts their defeat at the end as well.
