While at this age, we might personally want our own death as something to be celebrated rather than mourning, there’s a meaningful reason behind the mourning process. According to the Garuda Purana in Hinduism, the mourning period signifies that the soul remains connected to the earth. The number of people who come to pay their respects reflects the positive impact one has had on others, demonstrating that they were truly valued and cared for. Additionally, mourning offers emotional support to the grieving family, as sharing sadness can provide some relief. The ultimate fate of the soul-whether it reaches heaven or hell-is believed to be decided by one's actions during their lifetime.
Regarding advancements like brain transfer technology, while I see the excitement and potential benefits, I also worry about the anxiety it might cause for those who can’t access or afford it. This could create a stressful, competitive environment, overshadowing the joy of living.
It seems like Robert might be reflecting on his own experiences with these concerns-though I’m not entirely sure, it feels like he’s searching for something deeper.
By the way, I appreciate the genuine nature of the discussion, though a bit more research could add even more depth. (Konrad-your LinkedIn connector-Khushi here.)
