This was great! We enjoy seeing behind the scenes stuff. I know you have ten thousand videos to edit, heh. Just take things one day at a time. Maybe cut the videos that are repetitive, if there are multiple ones covering the same area? Or maybe limit the videos to twelve, one for each month from 2024, and cut the rest? You've already posted a ton of stuff for us this past year. You don't have to "catch up" on all of them for us. Then you can focus on filming new stuff for 2025 instead of worrying about so much backlog.
Thanks for the great suggestions! I actually did cut a few videos in 2024. Not that was going to make a noticeable difference lol, but it's definitely something I am thinking about. I am debating on a few local videos whether to release. Fortunately, or unfortunately, a lot of the remaining 2024 videos are unique videos, unique topics, unique places, many as you'll start to tell I'll discuss "closing the chapter" on things. Like my last McHenry Riverwalk expansion video, last video related to Longmeadow Parkway, last video at Spring Hill Mall. It's good for the channel that I am "closing the chapter" on some things to focus on different topics. But that doesn't leave me with a lot of repetitive stuff to cut-out. My hope as well is when I finally start to edit the Disney videos, some of them can be combined. Ultimately if I do slow down on my filming in January let's say, I get a little ahead with editing, then maybe for a week or two I can release a video every 2 days (spoiler next couple videos will be like that). And that will get it down too. Probably not going to do another long-form video like this, but I am planning on doing a "Short" with a video backlog update end of January, end of February, and end of March if necessary. I have a lot of ideas for other "behind the scenes" content as well! The new 3-minute Shorts opened up a lot of possibilities for me. Stay tuned! 🙂
