"Title should tell me exactly what the show is about" And that is how you get all the absurdly complex and oftentimes silly isekai anime and manga titles. Be careful what you wish for.
"A story about how I was incarnated as a pickle (but not as a Rick and Morty reference because the web novel this is based on was written in the oughties) with shitty stats but secretly powerful skills and also all the girls are hot for me and you can probably tell that my publisher is paying me by the character as well so I'm just padding at this point Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän"
I know this is a joke, but incoming info to explain the absurdity referred to: The issue with those stories is they began as web novels, on sites that don't allow you to have a brief description so the title plays double duty. Studios that adapt from there want to keep the same name to keep the fans so they *refuse* to go by a different name even when the author wants them to. An example can be seen with "Is it okay to pick up girls in a dungeon?" As the author has been trying to get it changed to 'Familia Myth', the story even refers to itself as this with the volumes of the manga adaptation despite having the original title on the cover.
I never found this artstyle nowhere similar to Bob's Burgers. I looked at the credits believing this was JC Quintel's artwork since the Sanjay & Craig is basically Regular Show done completely wrong. Guess Nickelodeon tried to attract viewers ripping-off Regular Show's looks.
That was basically my entire stance on this. It'd just worse regular show. From love interest girl to wings to the more irresponsible sidekick character. I never watched BB (except in passing a few times) but it seems to be an attempt to cross the two shows using disgust as a bonding agent.
The eyes and noses are different but JC Quintel's signature is in the lack of chins with his characters. Everyone's lower jaw just goes straight into their necks. But Enter is very strange about art styles. He said that Danny Phantom is Butch Heartman's most visually different cartoon not Bunsen is a Beast and no, I disagree. Danny Phantom characters look like Fairly Odd Parents characters just taller and more grown up. Bunsen is a Beast is so different that it's almost impossible not to notice the differences in the crossover episode.
@@OsirisLord Maybe he thinks so because in Danny Phantom all the character have an actual five-fingered hand instead the regular four digits used in tons of cartoons. Also, for one, Danny Phantom looks far more "comicesque": the other three are all "toonish", but yes, Bunsen is in both areas far more different than any other of Hartman's work.
Whenever Craig talks, I literally could not stop thinking about our lord and savior Otis from Barnyard. What if Kevin James voices Craig in a movie of the show?
Damn, when the *"Some viewers may find this disturbing, viewer discretion is advised."* hit at 0:05 , I felt that 😔. Now that takes me back... Nostalgic.
Fact: The creators of Sanjay and Craig themselves actually wanted more of the heartwarming moments in the show than more of the toilet and/or gross out humor. And to quote the creators, "We wanted less fart, more heart."
As a kid, I watched a lot of dark age Nicktoons, and yet this is the show that made me crack. It was a good run, but even a kid like me had standards. Low standards, but standards nonetheless.
The worst part is that I remember one commercial showing the top ten grossest moments from this show, and I had to deal with it between each episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Some gross out in shows can be funny but they really had no clue how to do it right in this show. I am so happy this show is gone now. It was awful. I never laughed once when watching it. I would groan and be disgusted. Feels like the show was made to piss me off.
most of the original run probably fits "Tom vs Jerry" more... as it should be (don't think I've watched a decent ep where Tom wasn't versus Jerry UNLESS there was a dog involved)
I guess it’s kind of a blessing in disguise “Unbarfable” was the first, last and only part of this show I saw. I was kinda curious abt it, but the “jokes” in that ep changed that immediately. Also kinda surprised to hear Teen Titans Go is getting low ratings, but after 6-7 years, maybe its time has passed. I hope CN is able to just end it and move on...
If CN ever gets it through their head that overplaying and milking the hell out of their cash cow is *demolishing* their ratings, maybe they will... But then again, you know how greedy executives can be...
+Andrew Mason: idk why but I rlly doubt it’ll be as popular/profitable. What few ppl who watched the 2011 Thundercats prolly won’t be into it and any fans of the original Thundercats are way too old for it. Teen Titans Go was based off a recognizable (enough) property while existing as its own show. Even fans of the Thundercats franchise aren’t rly on board w/ Thundercats Roar and kids might not be hooked by smth that feels like it doesn’t have to establish world or character. But ig we’ll have to wait and see
I pray for Mr enters sanity. You can do it Mr enter I believe in you. Even though you may not see this comment. I have faith that you will end the series sane.

@@SuperGoker64 On Mr. Enter's Twitter, he confirmed that he won't be covering It's Pony due to the show being recent and barely any episodes had came out yet.
Technically I was 11 and in the demographic for this show when it first aired, and even then I really hated it. I thought this show was stupid and unfunny and just plain gross. This show was show bad that it can't even get popular with the target audience
This show always did struck me as an Adventure Time wannabe. And that clip of the tacos at the beginning killed my appetite for Taco Bell even further, and it was already killed after I read Dipper goes to Taco Bell.
@Schrodinger_1488 I'm glad you said it. I was getting curious. You can't just say "X is incredibly awful. Don't look it up". But Gravity Falls (I'm assuming) with incest with a corpse? Shudder
Regular Show didn't have a theme song. It had a brief tune showing the title and had a clicking noise when showing the episode name and transitioning to the show, but it didn't really have a theme song.
Screw that because it's too bad even for them! 12 Oz Mouse, King Star King, Squidbillies, as ugly as they were, they were still unique. Speaking of though, I wonder why Glenn Martin DDS was not included. Probably caus it is more teen appropriate.
"You can imagine how I feel about a show that had a whole episode dedicated to barfing." Even worse, the episode is written by one of the writers of "The Splinter" from SpongeBob Squarepants.
Cannot say I can blame any of you. I tried to watch an episode when it was on once (keyword here being "tried"), and I quickly wound up turning away when I realized that according to this show, butts = funny. I don't think I could watch this show if I tried.
"some veiwers may find this disturbing" I dunno why but, I busted out laughing then. About the show though. I absolutely hated it as a kid but my friend liked it. I never understood why and still can't
@Dusk Raccoon I very rarely laugh at that. Some times I still laugh at the dumbest things and I guess I can laugh at toliet hummor if it's more than someone makes the sound and then people either laugh/ act like it's toxic. That's just me. Same with most memes, I don't find alot of them funny if they are just inside jokes or spammed alot. Just wish ppl wouldn't trash or bash others for not liking their humor/ liking one over the other.
God, I miss Animaniacs. It never talked down to its audience, and it had such clever writing. Despite the fact that some people view comedy cartoons and episodic cartoons as inferior to serious, story-arc driven cartoons, Animaniacs is proof that you can make a spectacular comedy cartoon that appeals to people of all ages. It's easily one of the most hilarious shows of all time, and the show's music was amazing too. I'm just praying that the reboot will live up to the original show.
The only thing i remember from this show is Snoop Dog guest staring in an episode and singing the opening of the show. I've made it an effort to block this "thing" from my memory.
It seems to cater to a neurological state in which not only do most gross things not gross out the intended audience, but the disgust and suffering of those who are grossed out amuses and delights the subject.
In my observations, the only way gross out content can work as part of a joke in a comedy is if it is used, in the same way that gore can sometimes be used for a good scare in a horror film. The disturbing imagery itself should generally be a means to help build up a punchline/scare, rather than the punchline/scare itself. Two examples I can think of are these: the Black Knight getting dismembered in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, right before he turns out be completely unfazed and refuses to give up; the scenes in South Park’s “The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs”, where everyone reads the boys’ book written for shock value, vomits profusely, then thinks it is the most amazing book they read by interpreting deep themes the boys never intended.
@@autobotstarscream765 I am not sure what episode was made about Captain Underpants, since I have only seen a fraction out of the hundreds of South Park episodes made over the decades. But I remember Matt and Trey saying that the episode I mentioned was loosely inspired by "The Funniest Joke In the World" sketch from "Monty Python's Flying Circus". "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs" was the episode, where the boys see "The Catcher in the Rye" on their curriculum and are told by the teacher how controversial it was for its content. But then the boys get disappointed and even think the teachers tricked them into wanting to read it, when they realize how relatively tame the book is. So they try to write their own book with the intent to be as gross and ban-worthy as possible, thinking that they will be able to revel in far greater infamy than "The Catcher in the Rye". But then it backfires and they become genuinely famous, when everyone in town hails it as a literary masterpiece. One of the main aspects of its attempted comedy/satire is based around the idea of critics projecting their own thoughts and ideas onto a story and attributing them to the author's themes, even if that was never the author's intent. I thought that was an example of gross-out humor done right, since the characters uncontrollably vomiting was just there to build up to the real joke, when people love the boys' book even as it grosses them out and it was never written for any other reason.
@@markcobuzzi826 It should be noted, though, that that's not gross-out humor. Good gross-out humor involves genuinely gross things (usually happening at someone else's expense or without their knowledge), but a common problem is that creators who attempt gross-out humor will often ramp up the gross-out without the equivalent payoff/humor. The gross-out shouldn't actually be super disgusting to the audience--it needs to be gross to the characters. But what will often happen is that animators will put so much time and detail into making the gross thing visually disgusting (and sometimes the sound editor will make it sound as nasty as possible), that the audience ends up too disgusted to enjoy the actual joke.

i have a feeling that Breadwinners, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Bunsen is a Beast, and The Adventures of Kid Danger are going to be at the bottom next to Sanjay and Craig, The Mighty B, Catdog, Monsters vs Aliens, and Robot and Monster. When Mr Enter reviews them
I love how Doug is literally the meh show of the bunch since it is boring by today's standards. Everything above Doug got at least a bit of praise. Everything below Doug was essentially reviewed as bad.
@@baldyairkid1831 We're gonna have to wait until his review on that to determine which show he thinks is worse, on Twitter. Even he was debating on which show he thought was worse
I barely remember watching this show as a kid. So it's basically Regular Show and with extreme off-color humor ala Ren and Stimpy. Now, my childhood self got some Vietnam War flashback after that.
I forgot how much I *literally* avoided this show like the plague-as in, avoided it because I instinctively felt like I would catch some horrible disease from it. Silly thing to think about a TV show, but this is my subconscious reflex that I'm talking about. I haven't felt this nauseous since accidentally reading an episode summary from Brickleberry...
Yup. The gross-out decreases considerably and there is a much bigger emphasis on storytelling and generally wacky antics. Bro probably just watched Season 1 and judged the entire show based on it
While looking up information about this show, I found out that "Unbarfable" was written and directed by Sean Charmatz, one of the writers of "The Splinter" from SpongeBob Squarepants.
I feel like shows like this were also trying to capitalize on the Captain Underpants books at that time, the main characters George and Harold, who are extremely similar, but actually do have some differences. Harold was more shy and timid and had the typical "head in the clouds" artist brain, while George was more bold and outspoken, and more intelligent than his grades could show. Speaking of which, the movie and cartoon series for CU are so good!
Also, George is the kid on the left with the tie and the flat-top. Harold is the one on the right with the T-shirt and the bad haircut. Remember that now.
I really like snakes, and I didn't mind the art style of this, so I was hoping it would be cute. I watched a quarter of an episode before deciding never again.
@@zzz43344 like, even adult party cartoon and cans without labels, things that are shitty and far below R&S quality, it could at least be said that John K made it something he could be personally proud of, whereas this show is moreso a "make it to make it" sorta thing like Mega babies or shnookums and meat ...god, I can't believe I'm defending John K.
I like the fact that Craig isn't a dog or some other generic pet sidekick. At first I was really interested in the show, because I have never seen a cartoon depicting a friendship of a boy with a snake. The sad part is that if Craig was a kid. Maybe Sanjay's adopted brother, nothing would change... I have a feeling that was the plan at first, but then they wanted to come out as unique...
Why did I enjoy this show as a kid? When the show came out I was a weird 8 year old and I remember trying to act like Sanjay all the time as a kid like eating wings like him, farting like him, remembering all his quotes, and making fan fictions and I rewatched it and cringe really hard 😂
Ngl, there are SO many worst Nickelodeon shows including the S&C ones (only a couple of examples), and this is coming from someone who would very highly recommend we see Quinton Reviews’ videos on Dan Schneider’s sitcoms even if flowergothic furiously won’t.
Sanjay and Craig is okay in my opinion. I've tried to watch this show numerous times over the years and each time I find myself being like "This show is okay." This show does have some occasional good episodes. My favorite episode of Sanjay and Craig is "Maximum Dennis."
Does anyone else think it's at least nice that Craig despite being a snake ( As snakes are not usually portray in a positive light ) wasn't an asshole who would throw Sanjay under the bus ?
Sanjay and Craig really is only bad in Season 1....... I remember watching this show to see how gross it can be, but nicktoons only aired the episodes from season 3 that day.
Remaining Nicktoons: Breadwinners Harvey Beaks Pig Goat Banana Cricket The Loud House Bunsen is a Beast Welcome to the Wayne The Adventures of Kid Danger Rise of the TMNT Los Casagrandes It's Pony is not going to be part of this.
8:00 Forgettable show, that is true, but I will NEVER forget the ACTUALLY AMAZING series finale. I believe it was called " The Snake Pit" and it dealt with the two being best friends and all that meant. The creators MUST have known that was the end because WOW did they alever give those 15 minutes their all...
Whenever I hear the phrase "it's for kids" to excuse terrible animated movies and TV shows, I have to ask: which would you rather your kid eat for lunch; a turkey sandwich, or a can of cake frosting? They'll happily eat either choice, but one is clearly healthier and probably made with a lot more care and effort than the other.
You think that's gross what if it was a movie 5 hour long movie where they fight disgusting demons filled with snot in poop constantly raping everything
From what I've heard, the show DID improve later and tone down the gross-out, which I appreciate. From that standpoint, it's still better than Breadwinners.
Probably because although the title has "Finn and Jake", it's the caption. The first thing you hear/read is "Adventure Time", which tells you that it's an Adventure show. This is better than if it were just "Finn and Jake", because it tells you its genre, unlike "Finn and Jake", which would only tell you that it's about two characters.
Yeah because no body actually calls it that. It's always just "Adventure Time". I remember when I was a senior in high school we (my anime club) went to an anime convention once. I passed a guy in a Finn the Human cosplay and deliberately asked my friends "I wonder what time it is" even though I was totally wearing a watch. Finn: Adventure Time!
The only episode of Sanjay and Craig I thought was close to OK was the one where they were on Family Double Dare (the episode being "Trouble Dare"). The only reason I thought that about the episode was because of the amount of DETAIL they went into for the Family Double Dare part - from the logos and color schemes, and set styling being damn good, to Marc Summers AND HARVEY (announcer from 1986 (original Double Dare's premiere) to the 1990 Family Double Dare season) being cast for their respective personalities, to ACTUALLY USING THE MUSIC CUES from Double Dare - as opposed to other shows that did a Double Dare esque parody, and had styles SIMILAR to the show, music kinda SIMILAR to the music in the show, etc. As bad as the show as a whole was, I have to give them props for paying attention to detail in that episode. It does not redeem the show at all, but one doesn't need to feel it does to recognize/respect that attention to detail.
Well. This show Puts Monsters Vs Aliens in perspective doesn't it? Monsters vs Aliens is just unnoffensive forgettable "Why Was this greenlit?" Show compared to this
Let's continue on with the ranking of how I believe Mr. Enter feels about each and every show that he views. Again, this is what I think HE feels; it's not a ranking based on the quality of the show that anyone else thinks. And this is just for FUN, so don't get upset. Let's go: Oh, and by the way, I don't read comments that people post to this, since most of them are just insulting or rude or just disagree with me. But, this is why The Legend Of Korra was at the bottom of the list: Enter literally said he was insulted by the show and it was offensive what they did to Avatar. That alone is why it was at the bottom of the list, in my eyes. Everything above it, Enter never really said it was "offensive" or "insulting". He just said it was annoying, stupid, boring, or awful. But when you actually get offended by a show, that makes it the worst of the worst. You can't argue with this. So, the only reason I'm not ranking it dead last anymore is because Enter specifically said in this video Sanjay & Craig was "the absolute worst". So, I listen to what he says carefully. My list isn't just nonsense; you can disagree all you want. But I listen to his choice of words and rank everything very, very carefully. So there. 1. Avatar: The Last Airbender 2. Hey Arnold 3. Catscratch 4. The Penguins Of Madagascar 5. KaBLaM 6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) 7. My Life As A Teenage Robot 8. Invader Zim 9. The Fairly OddParents 10. Jimmy Neutron 11. @@tidepodpadthai2633 Sure, but like OP said, it's a list based on the vibes of Mr. Enter's Nick-O-Rama, not anyone else's preferences or the objective quality of the show.

At 2:23 I started laughing at the visuals alone. I like Sanjay and Craig. Admittedly, I'm too old for this and I've only see a handful of episodes - but it made me laugh. It's like a low budget Regular Show, but legally distinct. Comedy and art is subjective, so I understand if you or anyone hates this show. I like the idea of a show highlighting how gross a lot of things are. Like that episode of Dexter's Lab where he gets perfect vision and sees how ugly the world truly is - his family's faces, the breakfast sausages. It was gross and pretty much existential horror. The old lady kissing her dog and the zoomed in hyper-realistic ugly-cute dog was great. You know what, that dog was probably eating its own poo outside, too, but tell that to dog-kissing old ladies. I can see how a germophobe would absolutely detest this show.

Let's be honest, everyone knew Breadwinners would be next.
Good lord, it really is all downhill from here, isn't it?
@@zzz43344 yeah, but honestly, I think Breadwinners is better than Sanjay and Craig.

@@zzz43344 No i think we reached rock bottom
I never found this artstyle nowhere similar to Bob's Burgers. I looked at the credits believing this was JC Quintel's artwork since the Sanjay & Craig is basically Regular Show done completely wrong.
Guess Nickelodeon tried to attract viewers ripping-off Regular Show's looks.
Thurop Van Orman was a producer on Sanjay and Craig.
That was basically my entire stance on this. It'd just worse regular show. From love interest girl to wings to the more irresponsible sidekick character. I never watched BB (except in passing a few times) but it seems to be an attempt to cross the two shows using disgust as a bonding agent.
That was my first impression too,It feels like Regular Show knockoff.
Whenever I hear BATB Otis or Craig talk, I think of Talking Dead.
Craig's voice actor is Chris Hardwick.
The only thing I remember liking in this show was Craig’s voice actor, who did Otis from back at the barnyard and Vaughn from Borderlands
A lot of Borderlands voice actors worked with Nickelodeon apparently
I wonder if working for Gearbox is any different than Nickelodeon
“Bandit life!”
Man Chris Hardwick’s character sure did take a huge nosedive in Borderlands 3.
Too bad he got cancelled I think.
How did i not notice Otis' voice in Vaughn's when I played Borderlands 3?

Fact: The creators of Sanjay and Craig themselves actually wanted more of the heartwarming moments in the show than more of the toilet and/or gross out humor.
And to quote the creators, "We wanted less fart, more heart."
I actually feel bad for them. They were the victims of “make the product “marketable”
Makes sense. Bob's Burgers mixed humor with heart. Nickelodeon was just a bad fit for the creator.
I actually think Sanjay and Craig is a good show. People just focus too much on the gross stuff.

@@aa_illustrator And I remember it being a Season 2 episode.
Gross out humor is a misnomer, because you can't be laughing and feel nauseous simultaneously.
@@markcobuzzi826 Was that the episode of South Park parodying Captain Underpants?
@@autobotstarscream765
I am not sure what episode was made about Captain Underpants, since I have only seen a fraction out of the hundreds of South Park episodes made over the decades.

ReasyRandom yes, and it’s still better than Fanboy and ChumChum
I’m surprised that in his list of good “and” shows he didn’t mention Adventure Time with Finn and Jake
I think it's because the AT subtitle is barely ever used.

This show came out in 2013? Jesus it’s been a while.
Next time it's duck season.
And yet somehow, it still hits Daffy anyway
Let's go:
Oh, and by the way, I don't read comments that people post to this, since most of them are just insulting or rude or just disagree with me. So there.

Why's this guy so hostile? Just post the list and go away lol
It's very awesome for you to do something like this because I can imagine how hard it is to find out a ranking of somebody else favorite to least favorite cartoon (Nicktoon). Keep at it, can't wait to see it when he's done with the marathon.
I like Mighty B...
@@tidepodpadthai2633 Sure, but like OP said, it's a list based on the vibes of Mr. Enter's Nick-O-Rama, not anyone else's preferences or the objective quality of the show.
@@TheGoldenDunsparce
Maybe it's because he's faced a lot of backlash for putting Korra at the bottom of the list or something and is not on the offensive as you seem to think but actually being pretty defensive, but hey, that's just the perspective of someone who actually bothered to read the comment.
It was a weird time back then
And that’s in one the worst ways!!!!
I remember seeing exactly one episode of this, and then immediately forgetting about it
If you think THIS is bad, just wait til' Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket...
He apparently said he liked the art style of that show. No, I don’t know what drugs he was on.....
This show had tearjerking moments, the creators wanted the show with "less fart, more heart".
The only episode of this show I watched was the one where Sanjay was home alone because Craig had to go to the vet or something? And the guy had never been alone before apparently and he was confused when he heard himself think for the first time. That's all I can remember. That, and there was a weird joke with Craig's butt at the end.
I'll be sad if this is the last episode of Nick-O-Rama. I've been enjoying it so far.
No
Me: Good things to say about Sanjay and Craig:.....(grasshopper chirping).....(2 hours of thought later)...
Person who reads this comment: Well?
Me: What did you expect? There's nothing good about this cartoon.
The artstyle, but somehow it's just offputting now and I can't watch Bob's Burgers for a while because I'll be thinking about this show while doing it.
Don’t go blaming on me now, I’m friends with Jay Howell on Instagram and he created this TV show and Sanjay and Craig don’t suck because they do awesome rad stuff and the gross moments are absolutely funny, screw all of you, be nice to Jay Howell and me!!!
8:07 Sanjay's nose is Nick's middle finger to its audience.
Some of these Nickelodeon shows should've had a TV-PG rating
The art style doesn’t look exactly like Bob’s Burgers, but it looks IDENTICAL to the art on some of the Bob’s Burgers comics
Glad I completely missed out on this one!
And to think, Nickelodeon already had a Sanjay on "The Fairly Oddparents," which was still on the air at the time!
This is the unwanted child of Ren and Stimpy having a one-night stand with Regular Show.
"the unwanted child of Ren and Stimpy"- so Mega Babies?
I was just watching a video about Barney and a T-Rex fighting in New York City.
Unbarfable is airing on Nicktoons this Thursday, noon central time. They are seriously still airing it to this day.
