200 hours is just getting your feet wet. Thousands of hours spent speed/challenge running and man I still find weird stuff every day. FromSoft just does it right.
23:41 big tip for the iron virgins, any weapon that does lightning damage will always stagger them after 5 hits. So you can get a dagger or something fast with lightning and stagger them, then swap to your main weapon to hit them while they are open (they can't be visceraled, but they take extra damage when staggered)
I remember on my pure strength playthrough with a colossal weapon I went to the noble guy properly leveled (or maybe even slightly under leveled) and he was easily the hardest boss in the base game for that entire run lol. But honestly that made me appreciate him and realize he's a really good boss. Also just wanted to say Volcano Manor is easily my 2nd fav legacy dungeon in the base game (there are some better in the DLC). It feels super fun to explore and the vibe is just amazing. The connectivity of the level too.
I stopped leveling STR ever since I reached Lyndell lol, and I switched up weapons hoping to challenge myself even more, I didn’t try to be OP but some how still ended up as such

Im a first time souls game player and got bodied by my first couple bosses. Now, most bosses i get the second try, just cause i spent the time to explore and got gud.
I didn't post anything last time cuz there honestly wasn't much to say but here's the usual: Lore and Explanations: - Yeah, you messed up the questline. The last guy you were meant to kill was easily the coolest but hey it is what it is. At least you'll be able to meet Bernahl one more time later on. - The dragon you fought was the best buddy of the guy which you can see the defiled corpse of in the arena. He basically entered the dream so that he can save him but insetad of beating death/deathroot, he himself too got corrupted by it. Which is why he uses deathblight. Kind of reminds me of Artorias. - You can see Rykard in the opening cutscene feed himself to the serpent. He was eating strong warriors so that he can become strong enough to win the war with Leyndell. The "ghost" guy is one of his knights. Because of what he became, his knights created the serpent hunter to kill him and save their master's honor. That's why he asks you to "run him through". And he also comes out in 2nd phase because he realizes you're strong so if he eats you he will be able to achieve his goals. - 16:01 Nah not at all. It's actually bad and there's no reason to use it cuz it has a trash ash of war, mid stats and has poison but isn't infusable to scale with arcane. And in general strength is WAAAY better than dex. To the point where on my first playthrough I considered some bosses impossible (dex) but with strength killed them in 1-2 tries. Next area: Mountaintops of the Giants

I recommend Vaatys Videos on this. :D

Idk why you didnt try but the serpent hunter also has heavy jump attacks, and they do massive poise dmg and much faster than the charged atks.... The best thing to do though is to get another great spear, like the lance, and do crouched R1s. It does super fast like quick shot attacks.
I thought I too understand the handy mysteries of the dlc. But my illusion of understanding was shattered when' hands came out of the grandpa. So I would enjoy an explanation too.
Yo also one more thing. Remember to use the pure blood medalion Varre gave you. Yes, ik, he said to not use it yet, but there will never be a "yet". Like seriously, the next thing is doing the exact opposite of what he told you. So yeah just remember to do it as it's really really important. I don't wanna spoil but you won't be disappointed.

Not sure if someone has told you before but some of the ashes of war allow for a second follow up attack if you hit the trigger again. And some other ones have a follow up heavy attack if you hit the heavy attack button after using the ash of war. For example the great serpent hunter had a second ash of war attack if you hit the trigger again. Just wanted to tell you cuz I know you could put together some badass combos Edit: if I just kept watching I would see you figure it out for yourself lol keep up the legendary work bro
Raging Wolf 🐺 has the Godslayers Great Sword 🗡️. Its an amazing weapon. The sword can be Acquired from the Devine tower of Caelid. You may already have it in your stash, Ice Borne Killer 🧊 🔨 🪦
@@TheLegendaryEddythere are 2 separate quest lines, the serpent girl's quest is independent of the contracts. The contracts aren't possible to finish but you didn't really miss anything, the main reward for that quest is a teleport to rykard

I was cheering for him getting his revenge cuz I liked D meanwhile Fia was a weird necrophile (yes, literally) traitor. She was the reason for many of good NPCs deaths. If you'd just reload the area you'd find his stuff there. She also literally tried to kill you right before you got to her (Fia's champions).

Probobly didn't explain exactly how to get there. After you use the haligtree meddalion you need to finish a evergeal in thath area go through a portal thath will spawn there and then find and fight a minor boss the you need to find the final boss of thath area aka(the hardest BOOSS in the game) and there you go you did it😊 i realy tried not to spoil to much but i just realy want u to find it. The dragon fights in elden ring are 100% dogshit. Bayle out of the DLC was the best one by far....because the dragon literally lays on his stomach kinda where his head is down low accessible to you the whole fight.
It was fun the first few times because being able to use a mount while fighting a dragon was new. But it honestly makes the fights way too easy. But dominant strat says to use the mount anyway cause why make it last longer lol
Even in my 200 hours in this game I still haven't explored everything, glad you're taking your time with this playthrough dude.

With Rykard, you need to stay very close to him so he can't use those flame skulls on you
I just spammed L2 combo and he never got the chance to cast that attack the last run lol. Those skulls were scary tho
use backsteps instead of rolling in lava. it's way more faster and you don't gain status quicker thanks to that in other "area attractions"
